Preposition Part-II
--------------------

Off-এর ব্যবহার
১: নির্দিষ্ট স্থান থেকে দূরে কিংবা সময়ের ব্যবধান বোঝাতে off ব্যবহূত হয়। যেমন: (a) I called him but he ran off. (b) Summer is not far off now.
২: কোনো কিছু দূরীভূত হয়েছে বোঝাতে off ব্যবহূত হয়। যেমন: (a) Take your shoes off. (b) He has had his beard shaved off.
৩: বন্ধ কিংবা বাতিল বোঝাতে off ব্যবহূত হয়। যেমন: The ceremony is off.
The switch of the fan has been made off.
৪: কর্ম থেকে দূরে বা ছুটি বোঝাতে off ব্যবহূত হয়। যেমন: (a) She is off today. (b) I have got three days off next week.

Into এর ব্যবহার
১।গতিশীলতা বুঝাতে into বসে। যেমনঃ The teacher entered into the class room.
২।অবস্থার পরিবর্তন বুঝাতে into বসে। যেমনঃ Water is changed into snow.
৩।সংঘর্ষ বুঝাতে into বসে। যেমনঃ The truck crashed into a parked car.
৪।সংখ্যায় ভাগ হওয়া বুঝাতে into বসে। যেমনঃ They were divided into three groups.
৫।নির্দেশ বুঝাতে into বসে। যেমনঃ Speak clearly into the microphone.

Preposition Part-1:

Pre শব্দের অর্থ পূর্বে এবং Position শব্দের অর্থ অবস্থান। যে Word Noun বা Pronoun-এর পূর্বে বসে সেই Noun বা Pronoun-এর সঙ্গে বাক্যের অন্যান্য Word-এর সঙ্গে সম্পর্ক স্থাপন করে তাকে Preposition বলে।
যেমন : There is a cow in the field. এখানে in Preposition এবং তা Cow এবং field-এর মধ্যে সম্পর্ক স্থাপন করেছে।

গঠন ও কার্যকারিতা ভেদে Preposition-এর শ্রেণি বিন্যাস

1. Simple Preposition: একটি Word দ্বারা গঠিত Prepositionই হলো Simple Preposition যেমন: In, On, by, at, with, ইত্যাদি।

2. Double Preposition: দুটি Simple Preposition যুক্ত হয়ে Double Preposition-এর মতো ব্যবহৃত হয়। যেমন: Within (with+in), into (in+to)

3. Compound Preposition : Noun, adjective বা adverb-এর পূর্বে Simple Preposition যুক্ত হয়ে যে Preposition গঠিত হয় তাকে Compound Preposition বলে। এখানে On এর স্থানে a এবং by এর স্থানে b বা be হয়। যেমন : about (on+by+out), below (by+low)

4. Phrase Preposition: দুই বা ততোধিক Preposition (বাWord) একত্রে Phrase Preposition গঠন করে। যেমন: In front of, In order to, In lieu of ইত্যাদি।

5. Participle Preposition: Participle of verb (Present or past) কখনো কখনো Preposition-এর মতো ব্যবহৃত হয়। যেমন: I saw the people walking past him.

6. Disguised Preposition: অনেক ক্ষেত্রে লক্ষ্য করা যায় on, at, of, Preposition-এর পরিবর্তে a বা o ব্যবহৃত হয়। এরূপ a বা o কে Disguised Preposition বলে।

7. Special Preposition: Than ও but মূলত Conjunction হলেও কখনো আবার Preposition রূপে ব্যবহৃত হয়। তখন তাদের Special Preposition বলে। যেমন : Iam older than her.

8. Verbal Preposition: এই জাতীয় Preposition Verb-এর পূর্বে যুক্ত হয়ে নতুন Verb গঠন করে। যেমন : Overlook (Over+look), Withdraw (with+draw).

Lesson Place

This lesson introduces nouns related to places. At the end of the lesson, you can describe your nationality and with the state, you belong to.

✅Learning the words - শব্দ শেখা।

Bangladeshi - বাংলাদেশি।
India - ভারত।
Gujarat - গুজরাত।
State - রাস্ট্র।
Nationality - জাতীয়তা।
Country - দেশ।
Chinese - চীনা।

The place noun in this lesson is mostly taken from India. These are easy to remember.

✅ India
India is the name of a country.

✅ Gujarat
Gujarat is the name of a state in India.

✅ State
State is a place/territory within a country. India has 29 states. All states are part of the country.

✅ Nationality
We use this word to talk about the nation to which a person belongs. If someone asks, "What's your nationality?, It means," Which country do you belong to?".

✅ Country
A nation with its own government occurring a particular territory is called "country". E.g India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, China.

✅ Bangladeshi
A person is "Bangladeshi" if he/she belongs to Bangladesh. Similarly, a thing relating to Bangladesh can also be called Bangladeshi. Example: Bangladeshi flag, Bangladeshi states, Bangladeshi cities, etc.

Lesson PEOPLE

This lesson looks at some words for people and teaches more of the verb "be" with a sentence using the verb and people nouns together.

✅Learning the words - শব্দ শেখা।

Boy - ছেলে।
Girl - মেয়ে।
Woman - নারী।
Man - মানুষ।
He is - তিনি।
She is- সে।

The people nouns in this lesson are simple. They are the most basic way to describe people.

✅ Boy
Boy means male child.

✅ Girl
Girl means a female child.

✅ Man
Man means a male adult.

✅ Woman
Woman means a female adult.

The grammar this lesson uses "is" - the last form of "be" (just like "am" and "are" in the sentence "I am" and "you are"). "Is" is the form for the third person - we make a "be" sentence with it after he, she or it.

✅ He is
This "to be" sentence using the male third-person pronoun. We can say "he is a boy" or "he is a man".

✅ She is
This "to be" sentence using the female third-person pronoun. We can say "she is a girl" or "she is a woman".

Thes two people work together. They introduce themselves using the verb "be".

Lesson Me and You

After you say "hello", you introduce yourself. We need to know the small grammatical words to make sentences for doing this - these are called pronouns.

✅Learning the words - শব্দ শেখা।

I - আমি
I am - আমি
You - আপনি
You are - তুমি

To introduce ourselves, we make short sentences using "pronouns" The two basic pronouns are "I" and "You", and we can use them with different forms of the verb "be".

✅ I
This is the first person pronoun. In a sentence, we say "I am Tusar", "I am Rakib", "I am Selim".

✅ I am
This is the pronoun "I" before the verb "am" (a form of "be"). A full sentence needs the name after, like "I am Muslima".

✅ You
This is the second person pronoun. In a sentence, we say "You are Nabil".

✅ You are
The pronoun "You" before the verb "are" (a form of "be"). A full sentence needs the name after, like "You are Nazmul".

Comprehension

This is a short conversation between two people at work - Sadia and Muslima. They say hello and ask questions. Notice how they say hello, and use pronouns and the verb "be" together in different ways.

Muslima: Hi Pooja, I'm Muslima.
Sadia: Good to meet you Muslima. Is Selim here yet?

There are many ways we can say "Hello" in English. Look at the different phrases, and see how we use them at different times, and with different people.

✅ Hello
We can say this with all people, at all times!

✅ Hi
This means the same as "hello", but we cannot say "hi" to someone when we meet them for the first time.

✅ Good morning/afternoon/evening
This is formal, and we change the phrase for the time of day. We say "good morning" before 12.00 midday. We say "good afternoon" after midday, before 18.00 or when it gets dark. We say "good evening" after that. We cannot say "good night" to say hello -it means "goodbye" at the end of the day.
