The Honorable Prime Ministerโ€™s Special Secretary recently paid a prestigious visit to and expressed great admiration for its outstanding campus environment, innovative activities, and contribution to the ICT and freelancing sector in Bangladesh.

During the visit, the respected Special Secretary explored various departments, modern training facilities, smart classrooms, creative labs, and student activity zones of the institute. He was highly impressed by the disciplined environment, technological setup, and the practical skill development programs conducted for students and young freelancers.

Rengwai Mro: 25 Minutes Beyond Chimbuk, Bandarban

In the Chimbuk hills of Bandarban, the Mro community is one of the most prominent indigenous groups. Deeper into those เฆชเฆพเฆนเฆพเงœ, it takes about a 25-minute walk from Chimbuk to reach Rengwai Mroโ€™s villageโ€”where there is still no electricity and no mobile network.

There are around 80,000+ Mro people in Bangladesh. Most of them rely on agriculture or jhum cultivation for their livelihood. However, times are changingโ€”many educated young people are now working in government and private sectors, while some have become entrepreneurs.

Rengwai Mro is part of this new wave of change. His interest in technology-driven work brought him from the เฆชเฆพเฆนเฆพเงœ to the plains, to Madhupur.

At Nokrek IT, he saw that many people from the hills have already built successful careers. Their stories inspired him deeply.

After meeting me and expressing his eagerness to learn, he has enrolled in the AI Integrated Digital Marketing & Graphic Design (Freelancing) course, starting after Eid.

People travel across the worldโ€”to China, Japan, America, Switzerlandโ€”to learn. On the other hand, Nokrek IT has attracted global attention as well; journalists from Sweden have visited the village to report on our work, and media from the Middle East and the UK have also reached out. Our journey has been featured in the countryโ€™s leading news outlets. This is how impactful work spreads across the world.

People from the hills travel 500โ€“600 kilometers to reach the plainsโ€”just to learn and build a better future. This distance has never been a barrier; instead, belief and determination have carried them forward.

For nearly a decade, this journey has been about peopleโ€”growing together and helping others move forward.
