আমি থাকি বা না থাকি,
তোমার সকাল যেন আগের মতোই হাসে,
রোদ যেন ঠিক আগের মতো জানালায় পড়ে
তোমার চুলের ফাঁকে, চোখের কোণে।

আমি না থাকলেও,
তুমি যেন কষ্টে ভেঙে না পড়ো,
কারণ ভালোবাসা মানে তো অধিকার নয়,
ভালোবাসা মানে নিঃশব্দে প্রার্থনা করা।

আমি থাকি বা না থাকি,
তোমার আকাশে মেঘ জমলে কেউ যেন ছাতা ধরে,
তোমার ক্লান্ত বিকেলে কেউ যেন বলে
"চলো, একটু হাঁটি।"

শুধু একটা কথা মনে রেখো
আমার না থাকা মানেই হারিয়ে যাওয়া নয়,
আমি রয়ে যাবো তোমার হাসির আড়ালে,
তোমার নিঃশব্দ রাতে, তোমার প্রার্থনার ছোঁয়ায়।
