Twenty-four years ago today, September 11, 2001, thousands of lives were lost — sons, daughters, parents, friends, and colleagues. First responders ran toward danger to save others, many giving everything they had.

Today, we pause to remember them, and to honor the courage and unity that carried so many through one of the darkest days in recent history.

Something I've learned working with teams across time zones and departments: Talent doesn't hold a team together, communication does.

The strongest distributed teams I've seen share one habit, they communicate before they're asked to. Updates go out early. Context travels with the task, not just the result. A developer, a designer, and a marketer on the same project actually know what the other two are doing.

Being a team player isn't about doing your part well. It's about making sure everyone else has what they need to do.

Social media is one of the best free universities we've ever had. A short video can teach a skill your college never covered. The right post can save you months of trial and error.

But there's another version of that same evening, "just five minutes" quietly turns into two hours. You didn't decide to stay; the feed decided for you.
That's doomscrolling. It chips away at focus, shrinks your attention span, and crowds out creativity. There's no space left for your own ideas when every gap is filled with someone else's content. Somewhere in the scroll, you start measuring your ordinary day against someone's highlight reel, which rarely feels like inspiration, usually just comparison. And the hours spent sitting are hours not spent moving. The fix isn't quitting. It's being deliberate with the time you already give it.

Follow people who teach you something. Set an intention before you open the app. Save what's worth remembering. And next time someone else's win shows up, ask "what did they do that I could try too?" instead of feeling behind.

Bangladesh produces around 10,000 IT graduates a year. The demand runs into the hundreds of thousands.
