Writing code is often the easiest part of a software project.

Many software projects face delays, budget overruns, or unnecessary complexity not because of poor development, but because the project starts without enough clarity.
Planning a new software product? Start by answering these 5 questions before writing the first line of code.
1️⃣ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠?
Don’t start with “What features should we build?” Start with “What business or user problem are we trying to solve?”
2️⃣ 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐫?
Your product should be built around a specific user. Understand who they are, what they need, and what challenges they currently face.
3️⃣ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐕𝐏?
You don’t need to build everything at once. Identify the minimum set of features required to launch, test your idea, and gather real user feedback.
4️⃣ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧?
Think beyond your application. Will it need to connect with a payment gateway, CRM, ERP, third-party API, authentication system, or existing software?
5️⃣ 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐰𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬?
Define success before development begins. Is it more customers, higher revenue, faster operations, better user adoption, or reduced manual work?
The goal isn't simply to build software. The goal is to build the right software for the right problem. A clear strategy at the beginning can save significant time, cost, and development effort later.
