Every spoonful of food tells a story.

When we eat, we often see only the food on our plate. But behind every spoon, there is a farmer, a field, soil, water, seeds, and countless decisions that shape whether that food is safe.
In today’s world of wars, climate change, supply chain disruptions, and rising food insecurity, producing more food is not enough. We must also ensure that the food reaching our spoon is safe, traceable, and trustworthy.

Food safety begins long before the meal. It begins with knowing how much input to use, when to use it, and how to grow crops responsibly. Many farmers still do not have access to accurate data on the right amount of fertilizer needed for their crops. As a result, excessive fertilizer use can affect soil health, crop quality, and even make food unsafe for consumption.

The environment is not only affected by factories, cities, or transport.
It is also affected by the way we grow our food.

Globally, agrifood systems contribute around one-third of human-made greenhouse gas emissions, while agriculture accounts for nearly 72% of global freshwater withdrawals. At the same time, farmers are facing the direct impact of environmental stress through rising heat, irregular rainfall, drought, salinity, and declining soil health.

So, agriculture stands at the center of a critical challenge:
How can we produce more food while reducing the environmental cost of every acre?
At Aunkur, we are working to make this solution measurable through data-driven and climate-smart agricultural decisions.

Through crop-specific advisory and fertilizer optimization, Aunkur’s analysis shows that CO₂ emissions can reduced by ~7% per acre per year in chili production.

Similar carbon reduction opportunities have also been identified in rice, mustard, jute, and chili.
Across maize, rice, mustard, and jute, Aunkur’s analysis indicates an average 4.3% carbon emission reduction per acre per year through smarter fertilizer-use decisions.

This is where environment and agriculture connect.

We are seeking a proactive and driven Impact X Intern (Strategy & Growth) to support the company’s growth strategy through market research, partnership building, and client engagement. This internship offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic agritech startup environment, gain hands-on experience in business development, and contribute directly to projects that create lasting social impact.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify business opportunities, industry trends, and potential B2B ecosystem partners.
• Assist in preparing business proposals, pitch decks, investor briefs, partnership documents, and investment applications (dilutive and non-dilutive).
• Support outreach to potential clients, partners, investors, and stakeholders through calls, emails, and meeting coordination.
• Coordinate and maintain CRM databases, partnership pipelines, investor contact lists, and due diligence documentation.
• Assist in organizing business development events, workshops, investor meetings, and networking sessions.
• Work closely with communications and product teams to align business development goals with brand messaging and social media content.
• Track and analyze KPIs related to partnerships, customer engagement, and growth initiatives.
• Prepare periodic reports, project updates, and presentations for management, investors, and strategic partners.
• Support investor engagement activities and assist in managing the end-to-end due diligence process, including data room preparation and document coordination.
• Provide analyst support during due diligence cycles—compiling data, verifying documentation, and ensuring timely responses to investor or partner queries.

• Final-year students (with only an internship left) or recent graduates in BBA, MBA, Economics, Marketing, or related fields.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (English & Bangla).
• Passion for entrepreneurship, social impact, and technology-driven solutions.
• Basic understanding of sales cycles, partnership development, and client relations.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and digital collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace, CRM platforms).
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

একজন কৃষকের কোরবানি শুরু হয় ঈদের দিন নয়, অনেক আগেই।

ভোরের আলো ফোটার আগে ঘুম ভাঙা, নিজের প্রয়োজন ভুলে গরুর যত্ন নেওয়া, ঝড়-বৃষ্টি পেরিয়ে এক টুকরো স্বপ্ন বাঁচিয়ে রাখা, এই দীর্ঘ ত্যাগের গল্পই একদিন পৌঁছে যায় আমাদের ঈদের আনন্দে।

আমরা যখন কোরবানির আনন্দ ভাগ করে নেই, তখন কোথাও না কোথাও একজন কৃষক তার বছরের সবচেয়ে বড় পরিশ্রম আর ভালোবাসাকে বিদায় জানায় নীরবে।

A new step toward smarter, more inclusive agricultural financing.

Aunkur has officially signed an agreement with SBAC Bank PLC. to establish a non-exclusive strategic collaboration framework under the “Farm Analytics-based Sustainable Agri-financing Program.”

This collaboration is designed to facilitate access to compliant agricultural finance for eligible smallholder farmers engaged in crop and livestock production by combining structured farm-level data, field verification, and digital workflows.

Through this initiative, Aunkur aims to support the expansion of formal agricultural credit, improve credit assessment through data-backed insights, reduce processing time, promote inclusive and gender-responsive finance, and build a scalable pilot model with the potential for national expansion.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Mashrur Hossain Shurid, Co-founder & CEO of Aunkur and Mr. S. M. Mainul Kabir, Managing Director & CEO of SBAC Bank PLC.

From classrooms to real-world impact - coming back to AIUB as a speaker was both nostalgic and inspiring for our Co-founder & CEO, Engr. Mashrur H. Shurid.

At the seminar titled “From EEE Classroom to Real-World Impact: Building Beyond the Degree”, organized by AIUB Community of Engineering Students (ACES) at AIUB, he shared an important perspective:

“When academic research cannot go beyond the academic boundary, it doesn't serve the purpose of the nation. The industry must come forward to support academic research and innovations to go to the deployment field…”

The session highlighted the importance of bridging the gap between academia and industry, encouraging future engineers to think beyond academic boundaries and focus on solving real national challenges through innovation, research, and practical application.

As an AIUB alumnus, Mashrur reflected on his journey from being a student to building Aunkur, sharing insights on developing practical skills, embracing innovation, and staying adaptable in today’s evolving engineering landscape.

মা মানেই শুধু একটি সম্পর্ক নয়, মা মানেই এক অনন্ত শক্তির নাম।
আর আমাদের Aunkur-এর Scientific Officer শ্রাবন্তিকা সরকার সেই শক্তিরই এক জীবন্ত উদাহরণ। 💚

ভোর ৫টায় দিনের শুরু তার।
নিজের জন্য নয়, পরিবারের জন্য।
সন্তানের খাবার, কাপড়চোপড়, সংসারের প্রতিটি ছোট-বড় দায়িত্ব নিজের হাতে সামলে তারপর ছুটে আসে অফিসে। কিন্তু অফিসে থেকেও তার মন পড়ে থাকে পরিবারের খোঁজখবরে। কারণ একজন মা কখনোই “ডিউটি অফ” হতে পারে না।

দিন শেষে ক্লান্ত শরীর নিয়ে বাড়ি ফেরা নয়, বরং শুরু হয় আরেক পৃথিবী, ছোট্ট আরণ্যকের সঙ্গে খেলাধুলা, নাচ-গান, গল্প আর ভালোবাসার মুহূর্ত। তাকে দেখে বোঝার উপায় নেই, সে টানা ৮ ঘণ্টা অফিস করেছে। মুখে থাকে এক অদ্ভুত প্রশান্তি, এক অসীম মমতা।

আজ আরণ্যক তিন পেরিয়ে চারে।
হাতের লেখা শিখছে, আর সবচেয়ে বেশি ভালোবাসে মায়ের কাছেই শিখতে। কারণ তার গর্বভরা পরিচয়-
“Mumma’s Boy” ❤️

ছুটির দিনগুলোতেও শ্রাবন্তিকা বিশ্বাস করে Family Quality Time-এ। পরিবারকে নিয়ে ঘুরতে যাওয়া, সিনেমা দেখা, playground-এ সময় কাটানো, সবকিছুতেই তার আনন্দ। কিন্তু একজন মায়ের যত্ন তো কখনো থেমে থাকে না। বাইরে গেলেও সন্তানের জন্য বাইরের খাবার নয়, নিজের হাতেই তৈরি করে biscuit, burger আর নানান প্রিয় খাবার।

গান তার ভালোবাসা, গবেষণা তার passion, আর পরিবার তার পৃথিবী।
একসাথে এতগুলো পরিচয় এত সুন্দরভাবে বহন করা সহজ নয়।
তবুও প্রতিদিন হাসিমুখে সব সামলে চলে সে।

এই Mother’s Day-তে Aunkur-এর পক্ষ থেকে শ্রদ্ধা আর ভালোবাসা সেইসব মায়েদের জন্য, যারা নিজেদের স্বপ্ন, কাজ আর পরিবার - সবকিছুকে সমান মমতায় আগলে রাখেন। 🌸
