𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞:
Aunkur is seeking a proactive and driven Research Intern to support early-stage R&D for Porokh soil sensing by building internal capability in sample preparation, ISE-based testing, calibration, and lab documentation. Initial focus: pH, EC, and nitrate-N. The role is not expected to build a complete commercial soil sensor independently.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬:
-Conduct a literature review on soil ISE sensing, especially pH, EC, and nitrate-N.
-Prepare soil samples, buffer solutions, standard solutions, and electrolytes.
-Run pH, EC, and nitrate-N experiments using commercial and experimental setups.
-Prepare calibration curves and record repeatability, drift, and response time.
-Maintain structured lab notes, data sheets, chemical records, and SOP drafts.
-Support comparison of sensor readings against reference lab results.
-Coordinate with electronics and firmware teams for signal testing and integration.

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:
-Final-year BSc/MSc student -Only Internship left, fresh graduate, or junior candidate in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Soil Science, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
-Basic wet chemistry knowledge, solution preparation ability, careful lab handling.
-Good documentation habit; comfortable with repetitive experiments.

𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
-Knowledge of Ion-Selective Electrodes, potentiometry, Nernst equation, or reference electrode behavior.
-Experience with soil testing, nitrate testing, pH/EC measurement, calibration curves, or analytical chemistry.
-Basic data analysis using Excel, Google Sheets, or Python.
-Expected 3-Month Deliverables
-Literature review summary and Phase 1 experiment protocol.
-Sample preparation SOP v1 and data logging template.
-pH and EC test report.
-Nitrate-N calibration and early soil sample test report.
-Commercial vs. experimental probe comparison, and recommendation for Phase 2

Assistant Manager / Sr. Executive, Business Analyst to join our Business Development team. In this role, you will be at the heart of our financial decision-making — transforming complex data into meaningful insights that shape the strategic direction of the company. You will conduct business valuations, develop financial models, identify growth opportunities, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership across both local and global engagements.

-Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results against forecasts and targets.
-Consult with management to guide and influence long-term and strategic decision-making across business functions.

A new step toward data-driven agricultural finance, risk protection, and greater resilience for farmers. 🤝

Aunkur, Dhaka Bank PLC, and Green Delta Insurance PLC have signed a tripartite agreement to collaborate on an integrated agricultural financing and insurance framework designed to strengthen protection for eligible farmers engaged in crop and livestock production.

The partnership will enable Weather Index-Based Crop Insurance and Livestock Insurance to be integrated with agricultural financing, helping farmers manage risks arising from adverse weather, crop losses, livestock-related risks, and other uncertainties that can affect their productivity and financial stability.

Under the collaboration, Dhaka Bank PLC will support eligible farmers through its agricultural financing programmes, while Green Delta Insurance PLC will design, issue, and manage the relevant insurance products. Aunkur, through its agricultural intelligence and digital platform, will support farmer identification and onboarding, farm and livestock data management, portfolio monitoring, weather and soil analytics, field-level insights, and technology-enabled implementation of the insurance programme.

The agreement was signed by Mrs. Farzanah Chowdhury, Managing Director & CEO of Green Delta Insurance PLC; Mr. Osman Ershad Faiz, Managing Director of Dhaka Bank PLC; and Mashrur H. Shurid, Co-Founder & CEO of Aunkur.

Together, the three organizations aim to build a more connected agricultural ecosystem where finance, insurance, and farm intelligence work together, helping farmers access financial support while strengthening their ability to manage climate and production risks.
