অনেক student ভাবে SOP শুধু formal document. But a weak or copy-paste SOP can create doubt about your genuine study intent. If your purpose, course choice, and future plan are not clear, your application may look unconvincing.

A strong SOP should sound personal, relevant, and realistic.

Bangladeshi identity crisis নিয়ে একটা কথা বলতেই হয়।

আমি abroad এ অনেকদিন ধরে থাকি। অনেকবার এমন হয়েছে, কোনো Pakistani person আমাকে approach করলে straight Urdu/Hindi তে কথা বলা শুরু করে। Interestingly, তারা Indian দের সাথে Bangla বলে না, Pakistani দের সাথে Bangla বলে না, কিন্তু Bangladeshi দেখলেই ধরে নেয় আমরা Urdu/Hindi বুঝব এবং reply করব।

অনেক Bangladeshi নিজেরাই Pakistani বা Indian দের সাথে unnecessary Urdu/Hindi তে কথা বলা শুরু করে। ফলে একটা assumption তৈরি হয়েছে যে Bangladeshi মানুষের second language হয়তো Urdu/Hindi.

But no.
আমাদের language Bangla.
আমাদের identity Bangladeshi.
আমাদের history, language movement, culture, and national identity এত cheap না যে কাউকে comfortable করার জন্য আমরা নিজের ভাষার জায়গা ছেড়ে দেব।

English is fine. International language.
Bangla is ours. Our identity.
But why should Urdu/Hindi automatically become the default for Bangladeshis?

Respect everyone’s language. But respect your own first.

আমি hate করি না কোনো nation বা language.
But I hate the assumption that Bangladeshi people will always adjust, always switch, always give up their own identity.

Bangladeshis need to stop acting like our language and identity are optional.

বাংলা আমার ভাষা।
Bangladeshi আমার identity.
That should be enough.

CS/IT degree কি তাহলে worthless?
Not really. কিন্তু job market এখন আগের মতো নেই।

এখন শুধু degree থাকলেই enough না। CS/IT students বাড়ছে, competition বাড়ছে, আর AI ও automation অনেক entry-level কাজকে change করে দিচ্ছে। তাই general IT role পাওয়াটা অনেকের জন্য কঠিন মনে হতে পারে।

কিন্তু এর মানে IT career শেষ না। Cybersecurity, Data/AI, Cloud, DevOps, Networking, Software Development এর মতো field এখনো strong। বিশেষ করে cybersecurity demand বাড়ছে কারণ business, banking, e-commerce, remote work, cloud system, এবং data privacy এখন অনেক বেশি important.

So, main question is not:
“CS/IT degree worth it?”

Better question is:
“আমি কি শুধু degree করছি, নাকি employable skill build করছি?”

Degree gives you a base.
Skills, projects, certifications, and a clear niche give you career direction.

আপনি CS, CSE, IT বা tech-related major এ থাকলে panic করার দরকার নেই। কিন্তু passive থাকলে হবে না। এখন থেকেই practical skill, portfolio, certification এবং real project নিয়ে কাজ শুরু করুন।
