গুগল ক্রোম ব্রাউজার ল্যাপটপের ব্যাটারির জন্য খারাপ

মাইক্রোসফট বলছে গুগল ক্রোম ব্রাউজার ল্যাপটপের ব্যাটারির জন্য খারাপ। ব্যাটারি টেস্টের এক ভিডিওতে তাদের এজ ব্রাউজারের সাথে ক্রোম, ফায়ারফক্স ও অপেরা ব্রাউজারের তুলনা দেখিয়েছে তারা। আর এ তুলনার মানদন্ড ছিল একটি ভিডিও। ভিডিওটি স্ট্রিমিংয়ের ফলাফলে দেখা যায়, ক্রোম ব্যবহারে ব্যাটারি চলেছে ৪ ঘণ্টা ১৯ মিনিট ৫০ সেকেন্ড, ফায়ারফক্সে ৫ ঘণ্টা ৯ মিনিট ৫০ সেকেন্ড, অপেরায় ৬ ঘণ্টা ১৮ মিনিট ৩৩ সেকেন্ড ও মাইক্রোসফট এজ ব্যবহারে চলেছে ৭ ঘণ্টা ২২ মিনিট ৭ সেকেন্ড। ফলাফল অনুসারে ক্রোমের তুলনায় এজ ব্রাউজার ব্যবহারে ৭০ শতাংশ বেশি সময় পাওয়া যায়। শুধু ভিডিওতে নয়, সাধারণ ব্রাউজিংয়েও প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বী ব্রাউজারগুলোর তুলনায় এজ ব্যবহারে ৩৬ থেকে ৫৩ শতাংশ বেশি সুবিধা পাওয়া যায়। উইন্ডোজ ১০ ব্যবহারকারী লাখো পিসি থেকে সংগ্রহ করা রিপোর্ট প্রকাশ করে মাইক্রোসফট বলেছে, ‘আমরা বিদ্যুৎশক্তির কার্যকারিতা ও ব্যাটারির অধিক জীবনীশক্তির কথা প্রাধান্য দিয়ে এজ ব্রাউজারটি তৈরি করেছি।’
