দেশে চলমান বন্যা পরিস্থিতিতে নিরলসভাবে কাজ করে চলেছে গ্রামীণ পরিবার। ‘বন্যা সেবায় গ্রামীণ পরিবার’ ব্যানারে জরুরি ত্রাণ সহায়তা কার্যক্রম পূর্ণোদ্যমে চলছে।

গতকাল বুধবার গ্রামীণ কল্যাণের পক্ষ থেকে চট্টগ্রামের ফটিকছড়ির হাজারিখিল, বোয়ালখালীর কানুনগোপাড়া, হাটহাজারীর বাথুয়া ও শিকারপুর এবং চন্দনাইশের বৈলতলী এলাকায় ৭০০টি পরিবারের মধ্যে খাদ্যসামগ্রী বিতরণ করা হয়েছে।

এর পাশাপাশি গ্রামীণ কল্যাণের ৫টি স্বাস্থ্যকেন্দ্রের আওতায় ছয়টি জরুরি মেডিকেল ক্যাম্প পরিচালনা করা হয়েছে। এসব ক্যাম্পে ২১৩ জন রোগীকে বিনামূল্যে চিকিৎসাসেবা ও ওষুধ প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

নেত্রকোনায় বন্যাকবলিত পরিবারের মধ্যে ৪৫০টি এবং হবিগঞ্জে পানিবন্দি মানুষের মধ্যে ১৫০টি শুকনো খাদ্যসামগ্রীর প্যাকেট বিতরণ করেছে গ্রামীণ ডিস্ট্রিবিউশন লিমিটেড (জিডিএল)। এছাড়া রেডিয়েন্স ফ্যাশন লিমিটেড থেকে প্রাপ্ত ৫ হাজার পোশাকের মধ্যে ২ হাজার পোশাক ইতোমধ্যে মাঠপর্যায়ে দ্রুত বিতরণের জন্য জিডিএলের কাছে হস্তান্তর করা হয়েছে।

গ্রামীণ ফ্যাশন অ্যান্ড ফেব্রিকস বন্যাকবলিত মানুষের জন্য ২,৭০০টি নতুন পোশাক প্রস্তুত করেছে। আগামী শনিবার এসব পোশাক গ্রামীণ কল্যাণের কাছে হস্তান্তর করা হবে এবং রোববার সেগুলো বন্যাদুর্গত এলাকায় পাঠানো হবে।

এছাড়া গ্রামীণ ভবনে পোশাক সংগ্রহ কর্মসূচি থেকে সংগৃহীত ৪টি বাক্স পোশাক বিতরণের জন্য চট্টগ্রামে গ্রামীণ কল্যাণের কাছে পাঠানো হয়েছে।

ফেনী, ময়মনসিংহসহ অন্যান্য বন্যাকবলিত ও ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ এলাকার পরিস্থিতি নিবিড়ভাবে পর্যবেক্ষণ করছে গ্রামীণ পরিবার। কোথাও কোনো জরুরি সহায়তা প্রয়োজন হলে গ্রামীণ পরিবার তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে প্রয়োজনীয় সহায়তা নিয়ে এগিয়ে যেতে প্রস্তুত রয়েছে।

The Grameen family continues to work tirelessly in response to the ongoing flood situation across Bangladesh. Under the banner "Grameen Flood Relief", emergency relief operations are being carried out at full scale.

On Wednesday, Grameen Kalyan distributed food relief among 700 flood-affected families in Hazarikhil of Fatikchhari, Kanungopara of Boalkhali, Bathua and Shikarpur of Hathazari, and Bailtali of Chandanaish in Chattogram.

In addition, Grameen Kalyan organised six emergency medical camps through its five health centres, providing free medical consultations and medicines to 213 patients.

Grameen Distribution Limited (GDL) distributed 450 dry food packages to flood-affected families in Netrakona and 150 dry food packages to marooned communities in Habiganj. Furthermore, 2,000 garments from a donation of 5,000 pieces of clothing received from Radiance Fashion Ltd. have already been handed over to GDL for immediate distribution in the affected areas.

Grameen Fashion and Fabrics has prepared 2,700 new garments for flood-affected people. These will be handed over to Grameen Kalyan on Saturday and distributed to flood-hit communities on Sunday.

Additionally, four boxes of clothing collected through the clothing donation drive at Grameen Bhaban have been sent to Chattogram for distribution by Grameen Kalyan.

The Grameen family is also closely monitoring the situation in Feni, Mymensingh, and other flood-affected and high-risk areas. Should conditions deteriorate or emergency assistance be required, the Grameen family stands ready to respond immediately with the necessary support.

Grameen Communications Signs Agreement with Grameen Bank to Develop Next-Generation Web-Based Microfinance Management System

Grameen Communications is proud to announce the signing of an agreement with Grameen Bank to develop and implement a comprehensive Web-Based Microfinance Management System (CBS) and ERP Solution, marking a significant milestone in the Bank's digital transformation journey.

The new centralized platform will modernize Grameen Bank's operations through integrated modules for microfinance portfolio management, deposit banking, accounting, human resources, inventory, and asset management. Designed to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen governance, and enable data-driven decision-making, the solution will provide a secure, reliable, and future-ready digital platform capable of supporting Grameen Bank's nationwide operations and long-term growth.

This engagement builds upon a long-standing partnership between Grameen Communications and Grameen Bank. Since 1997, Grameen Communications has played a pioneering role in the Bank's digital transformation, successfully computerizing more than 2,500 Grameen Bank branches over the years. Beyond Grameen Bank, the organization has automated over 6,000 branches across more than 300 microfinance institutions in Bangladesh and abroad.

Dhaka, 29 June 2026:

Grameen Communications and Japan's Wick Co., Ltd. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly develop SPARK, a digital social business platform designed to empower Bangladeshis at home and abroad through technology, skills development, employment opportunities, and financial inclusion. The MoU was signed on the sidelines of the second day of Social Business Day 2026.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Yoshikane Nakamichi, Representative Director of Wick Co., Ltd., Japan, and Mr. Feroz Mahmud, Managing Director of Grameen Communications.

The joint initiative focuses on building a collaborative digital platform that connects people, creates opportunities, and strengthens communities through the principles of social business.

SPARK aims to connect Bangladeshis worldwide through a unified digital ecosystem, enable skills-based earning and freelance opportunities, support employment and career advancement through digital profiles and intelligent job matching, and promote financial inclusion, micro-investment, and asset building to foster long-term economic resilience.

The platform will combine Wick Co.'s advanced technology expertise with Grameen Communications' extensive grassroots network and decades of experience in leveraging technology for social impact, creating an inclusive ecosystem where individuals can learn, earn, grow, and contribute to their communities.

The signing ceremony was held in the presence of Professor Muhammad Yunus, Chairman of Yunus Centre; Mr. Ashraful Hasan, Chairman of Grameen Group; Ms. Nazneen Sultana, Executive Vice Chairman of Grameen Communications; Ms. Lamiya Morshed, Executive Director of Yunus Centre; and Dr. Ashir Ahmed, Associate Professor, Kyushu University, Japan.
