Transcom is one the leading group of companies in Bangladesh. It started its journey with tea plantation in 1885. Currently, employing over 13500 employee.

Transcom’s history stretches back to 1885, with a foundation of unwavering ethical values, business excellence, and the push to keep evolving ourselves over time. Having started with Tea Plantations, today, Transcom Group is one of Bangladesh’s largest and most diversified business conglomerates, which prides itself on being run by professionals. Soon after the nationalization of the family’s businesses after Bangladesh’s independence in 1971, Founder Chairman Mr. Latifur Rahman started to build Transcom from scratch. Today, Transcom has businesses involved in high-tech pharmaceutical manufacturing, food and beverages, distribution, media, and electronics whilst maintaining decades-long partnerships with some of the world’s largest blue-chip multinationals.

BRING INTELLIGENCE. ACCELERATE IMPACT.

From October 8–10, the Transcom Technology Team came together at Camp Matita for three days of ideas, conversations, challenges, and collaboration.

This year’s offsite was more than a break from the workplace. It was an opportunity to step back, challenge how we think, and ask a bigger question:

How can we transform technology through innovation, data, and intelligence to accelerate impact and unlock new value for Transcom?

Through strategic discussions, brainstorming sessions, knowledge sharing, and team-building activities, the team explored new possibilities and challenged existing ways of working. We discussed how emerging technologies, particularly AI, can help us make smarter decisions, simplify the way we work, strengthen our businesses, and create measurable value.

Our 2026 theme, “BRING INTELLIGENCE. ACCELERATE IMPACT.”, captures that ambition.

We believe the next phase of technology is not simply about adopting new tools. It is about bringing intelligence into how we think, decide, build, and execute.
