I shudder thinking about it.

Today, every project we ship has automated CI/CD. Code gets pushed, tests run, and if everything passes, it deploys. No drama. No "deployment Fridays." No crossing fingers.
The difference it makes to a team is hard to overstate. Engineers ship more confidently. Bugs get caught before production. Updates go out quickly when they need to.

It's one of those things that feels like overhead until you have it — and then you can never go back.

🟦 𝐅𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫: Beautiful, performant, consistent across platforms. If you're starting fresh and want the best UI control, this is it.

🟨 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞: Massive ecosystem, JavaScript familiarity, great for teams already in the React world.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐭𝐡? The framework matters less than people think. What kills mobile projects is poor architecture, no testing, and feature creep — not the choice between Flutter and React Native.
Pick the one that fits your team. Then build it properly.

Honest answer? I wanted to build things I was proud of - and I wasn't always able to do that working for someone else.

For the actual builders? For the engineers maintaining what gets shipped? For the users who encounter the bugs?

Not so great.

I've spent 10+ years building software. The fastest teams I've seen aren't the ones who skip steps — they're the ones who've gotten so good at the right steps that they're fast by default.
