When a user sees any product/service, that user goes through a process known as the "Buying Funnel". This Buying Funnel or Cycle is based on Awareness, Interest, Learning, Shop, Buying, and for some businesses Retention phases.
If you are doing Digital Marketing, Internet Marketing, or Search Engine Marketing, you have to always craft your marketing strategy on the basis of Buying Funnel, this will help you to understand the Buyers' Persona.
So why it's necessary to understand the Buying Funnel? It helps the Marketing Manager to understand the Search Behavior from the perspective of the user.
Let's dig deep into the phases of Buying Funnel to understand which sort of marketing campaigns one has to run.
- Awareness Phase, "Hey! We Exist" if you are a new brand or service provider initially you have to create awareness throughout your audience.
- Interest Phase, In this Phase you tell your audience "This is What We Make Your Life Better" Which sort of campaigns you are gonna run for this phase? These campaigns can be Sales, Coupons, or any sort of benefit for your audience.
- Learn Phase, This is the Consideration phase, in this phase user (potential customer) gonna consider you, and learn more about your product/service. For this Phase, you can run whitepaper, blogs, guides ads, or "How to" ads.
-Shop Phase, After the Learning Phase user gonna move to this phase. This is the Phase where the user gonna looks for prices, different vendors, reviews, shipping, and other consideration. Remember one thing if your ad says that your shipping is free if your order is greater than $50 then it should, if you provided false information in your ad then probably you are losing a customer.
- Buy Phase, If the user has passed all the other phases, Hurray!!! there's a new customer.
-Retention Phase, This Phase is not applicable for all businesses/services but all businesses do retention campaigns these campaigns are Re-marketing campaigns where you target your customer and offer them something that they come to your business and do any sort of conversion. This can be discounts, promo codes, etc.
