Job Opportunity: Junior Network Engineer – IIG (International Internet Gateway)

Position Details

Position Name: Junior Network Engineer – IIG
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in NOC (Network Operations Center)
Work Location: South Banasree, Dhaka
Mode of Work: Roster basis
Workdays: 6 days per week
Shifts: Morning, Evening & Night

Key Responsibilities (Network Operations & Maintenance)

· Monitor and maintain core routers, switches, and transmission equipment (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, Mikrotik).

· Assist in configuration and troubleshooting of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and other routing protocols.

· Support redundancy and failover systems to ensure high network availability.

· Conduct routine link and performance monitoring using NMS tools (MRTG, PRTG, SolarWinds).

· Manage IP address allocations and routing advertisements (BGP) with upstream providers and local peers.

· Monitor bandwidth utilization and assist in traffic engineering to optimize network performance.

· Detect and report suspicious traffic patterns or potential security incidents.

· Respond to internal and customer-related network issues; escalate when necessary.

· Collaborate with NOC and upstream providers to resolve connectivity issues.

· Support and maintain connections with NTTN and ISP partners.

· Maintain accurate logs, documentation, network topology diagrams, IP inventories, and configuration backups.

· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly network performance and traffic reports.

· Work confidently in a 24/7 NOC environment.

Educational Requirements

· B.Sc. in CSE / EEE / ECE / IT from a reputed university.

· Vendor Certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, or Mikrotik MTCNA are preferred.
