1st Official meeting of Reformed Committee of Britannia University Computer Club (BUCC) held
With the participation of all of the members of BUCC the first Official Meeting of the Reformed Committee took place at Varsity campus. Mr. Md. Zahidur Rahman, Advisor of BUCC, hosted and conducted the whole session. The meeting was visited by Mr. Masum Bakaul and Mr. Mohammad Jahed faculty members of CSE department.
The agendas of the meeting was the following -
1. Having discussion on the arrangement of Badminton tournament (CSEBT-21): the participants discussed about the arrangement of upcoming badminton tournament.
2. Having Discussion on upcoming tour management

1. CSE Badminton Tournament (CSEBT) consists of eight teams. Each team will be formed with two members selected from the player draft.
2. The players outside the draft list can participate in the game in absence of regular/listed players.
3. Four matches will be held in Group Stage following knockout system.
4. After that four teams will be selected for semi-final following knockout system.
5. Finally, the winner of two semifinals will play the final match.
6. A match starts with a coin toss. Whoever wins the toss gets to decide whether they would serve or receive first OR what side of the court they want to be on.
7. Each match is of 15 points. The first side to score 15 points wins the game. If the score becomes 14-all, the side which first scored 14 shall exercise the choice to continue the game to 15 points.
8. A serve must carry cross court (diagonally) to be valid. During the serve, a player should not touch any of the lines of the court, until the server strikes the shuttlecock. During the serve the shuttlecock should always be hit from below the waist.
9. Teams must obey On-field Referee’s decision.
10. Authority reserves the right of taking any decision regarding the match.

There is a wise saying that "Health is wealth". To maintain a good health it is essential to be engaged with several physical activities which not only ensure good health but also improve social skill. Several physical activity related games provide the individuals with the ability to lead in a team, help them to have a pressure free life . The outdoor gaming contest is one of the best platforms in which the participants are benefited with all of the blessings stated above.
For this reason the Computer Club of the Department of CSE, Britannia University is going to organize an Outdoor Gaming Competition (CSEBT) as a part of ‘Winter Games 21’ on December 21-22, which will open a platform for all the students by engaging them in different competitions and thus create a learning environment.
Lets enjoy this winter with BUCSE!!!

Dear BU-CSEian,

I am proud and delighted to announce that Ayesha Siddika (1302020001), in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from 1st batch(Summer 2013) has been
awarded admission into the MSc. in Computer Science and Engineering(MSc. in CSE) at the Jahangirnagar University.
About 600 candidates were examined and only 125 candidates were selected and she took the 14th place on that merit list.

The journey from BU-CSE has been started. Lets congratulate her and we wish very best for her future endeavor.
