Thrive Summit 2026 was a hub of ideas, innovation, and motivation. With positive feedback floating in from all sides, it doesn’t feel like we’re back in everyday life just yet - and Lejla and Tarik have the most to say, as they joined everyone in Phoenix:

As we bring this story to a finale, let's do it in style - with a woman who paved the way for so many, raised standards and pushed boundaries, who teaches us all with her example, unwavering in strength and confidence: incredible

"I started my journey at PH as a Software Engineer, and after two years, was given the opportunity to step into the role of an Engineering Manager.
At that time, I was among the first women in engineering leadership.
My career was strongly supported by male colleagues, as there were not many women in tech back then, but their trust and belief in my abilities helped me grow into leadership with confidence.
At the same time, I was fortunate to have incredible women by my side who were always my support system and wind at my back.
Their encouragement, strength, and example shaped me both professionally and personally.
Today, I am proud to see more and more women joining tech and stepping into leadership roles, and
I truly enjoy supporting their growth through sharing experiences and practical guidance.
Leadership is never an individual achievement, so I am also deeply grateful for the outstanding teams I have worked with. Without their dedication, trust, and hard work, I would not be where I am today."

If it can be said about anyone, let it be about Bernisa: she's the person who truly understands how working and growing together means not only faster progress, but deeper connection, greater potential met, bigger dreams brought to life. She shines so brightly it makes everyone around her shine as well.

And as she paved her path, here's how her it shaped her:

"My career didn’t unfold the way I once imagined, but every turn has revealed the extraordinary power of giving, supporting, and growing alongside others.

As a teacher, I was lifted up by remarkable women who not only mentored me but opened doors to opportunities that shaped who I became, and I was able to do the same for my students.
When I entered the world of claims, it was one of my very dear colleagues who encouraged me to take on challenges, helping me discover strengths and self‑worth I didn’t yet see in myself. As a trainer/auditor, I was finally able to pay that forward by empowering both women and men in the team to believe in their abilities and grow with confidence. Being a Team Lead, however, was the time when I learned the most. That position taught me how meaningful and necessary it is for people to understand and support one another and how shared success becomes even stronger when everyone grows together. No words can fully capture how much the continued guidance and support from our incredible ladies means to me and to our entire team (you make the world go round!). Now, as a Supervisor, I continue to nurture a space where every person on my team feels understood and supported. My team is also my support system, and they’re the heartbeat of everything we accomplish!

Looking back, I believe that my journey proves that when we give our understanding, encouragement, and belief, we gain people who thrive. Here's to everyone who inspires and empowers, today and every day!"

"During the past eight years with the company, I’ve grown from a Member Services role to a Manager role in Implementation, where I’ve now spent six years. A pivotal part of that transition was the support of a woman leader who truly listened and understood what I wanted for my career, helping me carve a path toward it. Her approach showed me the impact of leaders who not only guide but also amplify your voice. Inspired by that, I try every day to offer the same to the women on my team by encouraging their growth and advocating for their goals. I make it a priority to uplift and collaborate with other women leaders across our organization. Amazingly, giving support has given me even more in return, including stronger teams, stronger connections, and a deeper sense of purpose."

"My career at Personify Health began in Member Services and progressed through roles in Configuration, Project Management, Client Delivery, and with the latest merger it ultimately lead to my current position as Director of Global TPA Operations. One of the most defining experiences of my journey was serving as a project manager for one of our company’s largest clients, a team composed entirely of strong, focused, and highly capable women. Their commitment to delivering exceptional support and elevating the employee experience deeply influenced both my professional development and personal perspective. That partnership reinforced the profound impact women have in leadership and shaped my own dedication to building strong teams, empowering women to step into leadership, and modeling the kind of leadership I once admired."

"Growth comes from taking on challenges before you feel completely ready. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to grow, moving from a Member Services agent into different leadership roles and taking on more responsibility along the way. That progress was shaped by the people who trusted me, challenged me and encouraged me to aim higher. The example and support of strong women around me played an important part in building my confidence and perspective. Today, I try to lead in the same way - by supporting others, sharing what I've learned, and creating space for them to grow. For me, "Give to Gain" simply means passing forward the trust and encouragement that once helped you move ahead."
