DigiSat Technology Australia Pty Ltd are thrilled to announce a new member to the team!

Cosmos has joined as the Business Development Manager at DigiSat Technology Australia Pty Ltd. He is responsible for OEM and local supplier products and projects ensuring conformance with relevant standards and works closely in the areas of MATV/SMATV and fibre systems with architects, consultants and project installations. Prior to working with Digisat Technology Australia, Cosmos held a number of management rolls in engineering, project management, business development roles with Jonsa Australia, FOXTEL, Tarbs, Comet Satellite and Cable and AWA. Cosmos is actively involved in representing the industry and government sitting on numerous committees, working groups and the Australian Standards. He is the inaugural founder and chair of the ADTIA (Australian Digital Telecommunications Association) since its inception in 2010 who is now an industry peak body.

How can construction in your area effect your television reception?

Answers can range from not at all to complete loss depending on location of your antenna or dish and where the signals are coming from.

Your television signals travel through a direct path from the transmitter to your antenna or satellite dish. If this path is disrupted for any reason then you will experience signal loss. Reasons for disruptions can include weather, trees, electronic devices, cranes, interference from other signals (such as mobile phone towers and such), but in high density housing areas with extensive development we see new buildings as a common issue. Unfortunately this is rarely addressed when developments are scoped out, leaving neighbours with reduced services.
