So appreciative of the collaborations I get to do with my fellow local designer crew đŸ€

Rach from Minta Viski recently refreshed the brand identity for Wagga Skin Cancer & Aesthetic Clinic Wagga Skin Cancer and Aesthetic Clinic (formerly Central Wagga Medical and Skin), then passed the torch to me for the website đŸ’»

In one VIP Day with the business Director Tracey, I:
‹‱ Upgraded the site from Squarespace 7.0 to 7.1‹‱ Brought the new identity that Rach created, colours in and fresh imagery to life across every page‹‱ Redirected every old URL after the name and domain change, so the years of SEO stays intact and no one lands on a dead page (V Important!!)
‱ Recorded a lesson on how to implement a new page with the saved sections available ‹‱ Submitted the new pages to Google before signing off

Tracey carried on with her day while I worked, with a midday and end-of-day check-in to walk through changes and make tweaks.

They now have a site that reflects where the business is headed, not where it’s been đŸ€

Want your website feeling fresh before the new year rolls in? A VIP Day is a day dedicated to you and your business - perfect for refreshing content on your site, adding a new page or tidying up the backend so your business can run a little easier. I’ve got very limited spots left for 2026. DM me for more info 💌

A brand mark that didn’t quite make the final brand đŸ’« Still deserves its moment in the world.

With any project, there are always little things that never see the light of day - even to the client, (you don’t want to see my messy artboards haha) But sometimes that’s the magic in it - experimenting with different ideas is what make the process so rewarding.

Maybe I should start to share these little snippets off the cutting room floor âœ‚ïžđŸ’» What do you reckon? Should I?

Working with Lorinda was one of those projects that just felt right from the start 💓

In the last six months she has built her own website, written her own copy, launched a podcast, and shows up every single week with a newsletter that helps women with ADHD realise that a messy house doesn’t make them a failure. I love reading it each week, and I can relate to so much of what she covers , maybe there is some underlying factors for me too haha.

She now offers a self-paced mini course, group coaching, and 1:1 private coaching , all designed around the ADHD brain, by someone who actually gets it.

She’s proof that when your brand tells the right story, everything else follows.

Congratulations on everything you’ve built, Lorinda. I’m so proud of you and cannot wait to see what else you have up your sleeveđŸ€

I could probably tell you what stage of business someone’s in from their google search or chat history 😅 I want to say though that none of these are actually silly questions.

They’re all reasonable things to want to know, the problem is that each one gets asked on its own, usually at 11pm after you’ve battled the bath and bedtime routine and your youngest has gotten out of bed for the 3rd time in an hour and you can’t give Google enough context for it to be able to answer you the right way.

So you get some sort of answer, you add the app some random on Reddit suggests, you find the workaround, and it works
sort of
which is exactly why you go back and do it again next time.

Four years of that and you’ve got a business that runs, sure, but only if you’re the one running it đŸ€

These also aren’t four separate problems to solve one at a time, it’s one problem wearing four different hats

So i’d like to know which one have you actually typed into Google or asked your chat bestie đŸ€–

I’ll admit I’ve done at least three of them for my own business, including the rebrand one before Storytold was born.

And yeah, you’re now wondering what actually answers it, it’s usually not a new website to begin.

It’s someone sitting down and mapping what’s really there first. Domains, logins, the tools you forgot you’re paying for, the spreadsheet holding two systems together.

That’s where I start now đŸ€Ž

Another peek at what’s been happening around here lately, cos it’s been quite the busy one tbh.

What you see in a reel or final “tada” of a brand or website reveal is maybe like 10% of what it actually took to get there. the other % looks like:

- Emails (lots of these)
- Revisions
- Systems, Admin, a few choice words at my hard drive when it won’t connect (lol)
- trying to remember to leave my office to eat đŸ€Ł

What I’ve been finding handy for my brain that likes to bing b**g around is noise cancelling headphones, a ‘adhd deep house’ playlist and ONE set task each day. Locked in , so I don’t start 50 things and walk away with feeling under accomplished

Take a swipe through to the last slide for the stuff that never makes the grid, not everything worth doing looks good on camera, and that’s just the normality of life.

What’s been on your list lately that’s quietly been taking up way too much of your time? Let me know xx

I was driving home tonight and I had a little bit of a moment where I thought about how this time about 2 years ago I was starting to seriously think about quitting my job and going all in with Storytold.

Driving home on a Friday back then would be me exhausted couldn’t wait to get home and fall in a heap. Today I drove home after a catch up with fellow designer friends and I felt excited. Happy. Grateful.

This little life of mine I couldn’t have pictured back then. It felt unrealistic. Yes they say you quit your 9-5 to work 24/7 (and all business owners can relate to that 😅) but some days it really doesn’t feel like that, it feels fun 💓

Anyways. Not really sure the point of my post other than to show you what my little life has been like the last month or so.

It’s my busy season and I’m currently working with so many amazing people, proposals approved today which means the next available date will be mid - late October 👀đŸ„č

Please, if you would like to work with Storytold on your project in 2026 - I would not delay reaching out so I can chat to you about your dreams and plans!

đŸ€ŽđŸ’« big love, J x

Before I book anyone in, I ask what’s feeling hardest in their business right now.

Sing out if your answer would involve a spreadsheet, a page or two on your website you’re scared to touch, or a manual process only you understand (with a sticky not attached to your monitor for emotional support.) đŸ—’ïž

Branding’s just what’s easiest to point at from the outside.

A brand should feel like stepping into someone’s world before you’ve even met them 🧡

For Chloe, that meant creating something warm, relaxed but full of personality. A brand that feels like a natural extension of how she works - so that when her couples, families and kinders meet her, they already feel comfortable.

From thoughtful strategy through to a complete brand identity and full build website - with a blog to showcase her sessions, this project has been all about building a home for her work, one that can grow alongside her business for years to come.

So excited to finally share this one đŸ„° Chloe Jones Photography
