Automotive Electrician and Accessory Fitters.

Karera Communication are hiring qualified trades and trades assistants to work on large-scale projects doing vehicle fit-outs across NSW. Looking for casual and full-time positions. We have over 5000 vehicle fit-outs to complete.

The positions are based out of Port Macquarie, but you must be able to travel and work away on rostered projects.
Qualifications & experience preferred

• Cert III or equivalent in electronics & communications or
• Automotive electrician or Automotive accessory fitter
• Working with company management systems
• Product knowledge within the communications industry
Tasks & responsibilities
• Installation of mobile data terminals
• Installation of UHF CB
• Installation of phone boosters
• Installation of UHF / VHF radios
• Installation of vehicle trackers
• Installation of mobile data terminals

From humble beginnings of two men on stools sitting at a bench made from a door, and using a borrowed test set in the North of Sydney, Karera has since moved to several different addresses, in various directions, and from strength to ever increasing strength.

Well done, and thank you to Marine Rescue NSW!

RECORD DECEMBER FOR MARINE RESCUE VOLUNTEERS

During December, the 3,200 members of Marine Rescue NSW undertook a record 560 rescues, up 29.6% on the December 2020 figure - with a rescue being performed on average every 80 minutes.

Marine Rescue radio operators were just as busy, taking 25,387 radio calls, or one every two minutes.

During the month the most common cause of rescue was engine failure (41%), followed by battery (11%), grounded (7%), and fuel (7%).

When rescued, most boats were crusing (140), fishing (114), sailing (28), or paddling (15).

A total of 1283 people were brought safely to shore, including 1132 adults and 151 children - plus seven dogs.

To all our volunteers, thank you for your amazing efforts in December in being there to help boaters in need on our waterways.
