Business Concierge Callum Glennie gave the first of our four speeches on the night after accepting the Business Continuity Excellence Award on Saturday.
Below is his speech, sadly this one didn't get videoed as our camera man was on stage with Callum! :(

Good evening everyone, I’m Callum, Primo’s business concierge. I look after our business customers and make sure they are getting the best services and support they need
I'd like to say thank you to the judges, the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce, TSB and the category sponsor Taranaki Emergency Management Office.
For Primo, business continuity is ingrained in what we do. As a growing business ‘redundancy’ has always been a core feature of our strategy – no not job losses, but building a redundant network, having job redundancy.
What this actually means is we have built a resilient network, are not reliant on key staff, share job tasks and we can operate from the office, our vehicles, or even our homes if required during a pandemic!
Keeping things going is a vital part of our infrastructure. We have over 4500 Taranaki customers relying on us now, and some of those have crucial roles in our regions industries and disaster situations.
Our sites have back up power systems and can reroute data if a tower or link is knocked out.
Thanks to the wireless network we have built, we can provide fast reliable broadband even when and if the fibre network goes down due to an act of God, or more likely, as an act of the guy on the digger, commonly known in our industry as spade fade.
It means a real resilience for our customers, both private and corporate, and for the whole region too.
