There’s something satisfying about designing internationally.

Maybe its the understanding that our design is transcending our location….or maybe its the idea of working with other professionals who can teach us as much as we can them. Either way, branding Sun Sea Sky Productions, a record label hailing from Illinois was a meticulous and challenging process, but we learned a lot from the process and it helped us take our skill set to the next level.

Often the challenge as designers isn’t the actual design aspect of the job. It’s more about the preparation of engagement ensuring that the interpretation of what our clients want is clear and on point as the very first thing to address. We’re big advocates of being as crystal clear as possible about what our clients want before getting our feet wet in the pool of endless creativity.

Clear Communication is Key.

I could tell you all a really corporate kind of story about branding a machinery hire company in Tasmania...but it'd probably bore the s**t out of you all.

All you really need to know is that these guys are on the up and up and are some ripper people to work with. Designing their website was actually a pleasure.

God we love artists.

Not because they can do great things with their chosen medium, but because they continually show everyone else what true creativity looks like. Sometimes its in the form of an event, sometimes a gift when you least expect it or even giving you a perspective on the world thats a little different from the mainstream.

In the case of David Ray & Helen Grieg, a couple who have taken their AirBNB to the next level with a concept that not only showcases David’s artwork that has become renown across not only Australia but internationally, they have created what can only be called the first ARTpartment of its kind.

Sometimes we get to design some awesome stuff.

Sometimes, even we look back and wonder how we wrapped our heads around a job that challenged us to think outside the box.

Designing football boots for XBlades for over half a decade was an opportunity not everyone gets. A traditional graphic design skill set is both not enough and essential at the same time.

The extra ingredients are creative precision & non linear thinking.
