In our slavish, single minded pursuit of net zero, we have secured our first EV; a 2026 Toyota Hilux. We have only added half the fruit as the model is so new, most of the berries haven't been released yet.
Professionally supplied and delivered by Paul from Lockyer Valley Toyota.
I've driven it for the week, before one of the techs grabs it for useful work, & it was pleasant to drive, and seems to have all of the modern features, plus there is a button to stop it yelling at you. Big tick from me.

The final challenge that electronics apprentices need to complete before qualifying as a journeyman, is to swap out an antenna array on a Parks & Wildlife tower deep in Carnarvon Gorge, which is a known breeding site for dropbears.
We are pleased to announce that Cormac successfully completed the task and has been presented with his trade certificate. He suffered an injury when a doe followed him up the mast and he lost a toe when she savaged his steel capped boot.

Lets have a LAN party they said. It'll be fun they said. I think I took around 90 minutes to register my first kill, and that was only because one of them was trying to sneak up behind me with a melee weapon for the fun of it, and I accidentally shot a rocket into the wall next to me and took them out in the process.
Actually the first clue should have been that nobody wanted to play Dule Nukem 3D. It was all Call of Duty this and Battlefield that.
Suffice to say as a 50 year old I no longer have my eye in. Off for a lightning fast game of Civilisation to ease the hurt and look forward to the next round of performance reviews.

Comtel takes workplace safety seriously. Health Security Education RTO # 40907 is currently running CPR and First Aid Training for some of our staff. They also conduct working at heights and rescue from height training for our rigging team. Supporting our clients takes us across the country and in some case to remote locations. Having reliable communications and staff appropriately trained is essential for safe operations.

No doughnuts for this training session unfortunately.

On the weekend while undertaking regular maintenance on our Motorola Solutions & Tait Communications networks, Uncle Trevor was taking photos of the current state of the antenna arrays in Brisbane during Riverfire 2025, when this EA-18A Growler inconveniently got in the way of the shot. The next shot was much clearer and showed the majestic RFI Technology Solutions BA40404040-67P arrays.
