Mark on your calendars! On July 27th at 2pm the Australian Government will be sending a test alert/siren to all phones nationwide through the AusAlert system. There is no need to respond as it is just a test so in the future warnings can be sent to let you know of any catastrophe in select areas. This test will over-ride all DO NOT DISTURB or silent features on your phone. So mark this on your calendar so you know what is going on on the day.

For those who follow my page, earlier I showed some pics of a PC "breadboarded" on the bench due to a "smoking" graphics card. So there is a pic of the PC reassembled with my temp graphics card in, plus a photo of the old graphics card with the burnt out components (circled).

Just did a rebuild of a dead PC. Plugged it in and there was smoke! Ended up being a faulty graphics card. So I stripped...

Just did a rebuild of a dead PC. Plugged it in and there was smoke! Ended up being a faulty graphics card. So I stripped it down, breadboarded it out, tried my test graphics card and up it comes! Was also running out of drive space, so I moved the user profile off to a secondary drive and specs of mainboard were Windows 11 eligible, so I upgraded it to Windows 11 (from 10) as well. (No extra charges) Now running beautifully and have run it on intermittent tests over the last few days.

Had this 2 in 1 laptop in today for a fresh load of Windows 11. Drive was full and was running like a dog with 4 broken legs. Went home this afternoon, all sweet and running quite decently since it was little Pentium PC. Folks come all the way up from Stanthorpe to get the job done.
