Well this was a bit unexpected! 😲

Side Hustle Phone Repairs has been nominated for the 2026 Tamworth Quality Business Awards! 🏆

To say I'm surprised would be an understatement.

What started out as fixing phones from home has grown into something much bigger, with me now helping local homes, farms, community organisations and businesses with everything from phone repairs and computers through to networking and IT support.

Running a small business definitely has its ups and downs, so it's pretty awesome to receive recognition like this.

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way. Whether you've had a screen replaced, called me out to fix your internet, recommended me to a friend, or simply shared one of my posts - I genuinely appreciate it.

I wouldn't be here without the support of my customers and the local community.

Bloated battery alert! 🔋⚠️

This phone came in with a swollen battery pushing up on the screen from the inside. That’s not just “bad battery life” — that’s a fire risk waiting to happen.

A bloated battery can:
🔥 Overheat
📱 Crack or lift the screen
⚡ Randomly shut down
💥 In worst cases… vent or catch fire

Good news: it was caught in time and safely removed 👍
Fresh battery going in and this one’s being disposed of properly.

If your phone screen is lifting, feels thick, or the back doesn’t sit flat anymore — don’t ignore it. Get it checked ASAP.
