I am a freelance/contract web dev working remotely with a digital agency in Sydney. I’m having an operation this month and will need the services of an experienced developer to cover for the 4 to 6 weeks that I’ll be out of action. There will be ongoing work after that period for the right person.
What I do:
Builds are in Wordpress, using Divi theme as a base, with a child theme created for the individual site build. Sites are hosted on staging with Sitegeound, and production hosted either with Siteground or the clients host.
There are occasional static html site/holding page builds.
All CSS is generated from SCSS files.
All themes/builds are held in private BitBucket repos, and themes are built out from Sketch design files.
All communications with agency staff are via Slack and email, with projects managed through Task World, or occasionally Trello.
Who you are:
You have experience with building Wordpress sites, creating child themes, overriding parent themes where required, and creating custom plugins.
You have experience working with Divi theme, and exposure to WooCommerce.
You have good knowledge of SCSS and are great with CSS.
You know your way around Git and can safely rebase without blowing everything away!
You have experience with Sketch and can extract assets and style information from it as required.
You are set up to work remotely.
What I need:
You to cover all my current and upcoming projects with the agency for a minimum period of 4 weeks, starting Monday 20th July 2020.
You will be an Australian citizen/permanent resident, located in Australia.
You will have capacity to cover for me during the 4 week period. During this period there will be maintenance tasks for existing builds, development of new builds, and go lives for builds in staging.
You will be set up with all tools and tech to work remotely during normal business hours, Sydney time.
Interested?
If this freelance opportunity sounds right for you and you meet the above requirements, shoot me a message, include specifically your hourly rate, and some details of your experience/recent builds.
NOTE: this is not an offer of employment or contract. No contract will be entered into. This is a freelance position paid on an agreed hourly rate for works requested and rendered.
