They were surprised to find out how much its trade-in value had dropped.

The phone looked fine when they bought it. The problem came later.

A customer recently brought in a second-hand phone because it had started having problems.

When we checked the phone, we found that some of the parts had been replaced before — and they were not original parts.

The customer had no idea when they bought the phone.

This is one of the risks with buying second-hand. A device can look perfectly fine on the outside, while you may not know what has been replaced or repaired inside.

That's why checking a pre-owned device properly before buying it can make a big difference.

At M.A.C Li Technology, our used phones and devices are carefully tested before sale and come with a 1-Year Warranty.

Buying second-hand can save you money — but knowing what you're buying matters too.

Would you check the history and condition of a used phone before buying it?

Ever had a device start giving you trouble at the worst possible time?

A customer recently came in with a laptop that kept shutting down during work. They had already started looking at new laptops, thinking the old one was finished.

After checking it, we found the problem was just the battery getting old and it could be repaired easily.

Sometimes a device doesn't need replacing — it just needs the right diagnosis.

We repair phones, iPads, MacBooks and laptops, including screens, batteries, charging issues, keyboards, trackpads, motherboard problems and water damage.

Has your device ever failed you at the worst possible moment?

What if your “backup phone” suddenly stopped working when you needed it?

A customer came in today with an old phone they had kept as a backup for years. They hadn't used it for a long time, but they always thought, “I'll keep it — just in case.”

When they finally needed it, the battery was almost completely gone and the phone wouldn't work properly.

By then, the phone had also lost a lot of its value.

It's easy to keep an old device because you think you might need it one day. But if you're not using it, its condition and value can change over time.

If you have an old phone, iPad or laptop sitting at home, bring it in and let us check its condition and trade-in value.

You might be better off turning an unused device into cash instead of waiting for it to become worthless.

Do you still keep an old phone as a “backup”, just in case?

A customer came in this week with two devices.

One was an old iPhone that had been sitting at home since they upgraded to a new phone. They hadn't used it for quite a while, so they wanted to see if it was still worth anything.

The other was a MacBook they were still using, but it had become slow and the battery wasn't lasting very long.

They were thinking about replacing it.

After checking them, the old iPhone could be assessed for trade-in, while the MacBook was still worth repairing rather than replacing.

Sometimes the answer isn't buying another device.

If you have an old phone sitting at home, bring it in see what it's worth and trade it in with us. If your MacBook or laptop is giving you problems, let us check it before you spend money on a new one.

What would you do — trade in an old phone or repair your current laptop?

What if that old phone suddenly stopped working?

A customer recently brought in an old phone that had been sitting at home for a long time. They hadn't used it for months, but when they finally decided to check it, the phone wouldn't turn on properly.

The bigger problem? There were still photos and other important information on it.

Old devices are easy to forget about, but batteries can deteriorate, devices can develop faults, and their resale value can continue to drop over time.

If you have an old phone, iPad, tablet or laptop sitting at home, it's worth checking it before leaving it for another year.
Bring it in and let us assess its condition and see what options are available.

That old phone in your drawer might be worth less every month.

A customer recently brought in an old phone they had kept as a backup. It had been sitting unused for quite a while, and by the time they decided to trade it in, its value had already dropped.

It's easy to think, “I'll deal with it later.”

But if you're not using an old phone, iPad or other device, waiting usually doesn't make it more useful.

Bring it in, let us check its condition, and find out what it's worth.

A simple way to clear out old devices and put some value back in your pocket.
