A contractor's website told me they had 25 years of experience.
That should have been their biggest advantage.
Instead, it was buried halfway down the homepage.
The hero section only said:
*"Welcome to our website."*
Imagine meeting someone for the first time and introducing yourself by saying...
"Hello."
..then waiting two minutes before mentioning you've been an expert in your field for 25 years.
That's what many websites do.
Your hero section has one job:
Tell visitors why they should trust you within seconds.
Not with clever slogans.
With clear evidence.
For example:
✔ 25+ Years in Business
✔ 2,000+ Projects Completed
✔ Fully Licensed & Insured
✔ Free On-Site Estimates
That's not decoration.
That's reducing uncertainty.
Every homepage should answer:
**"Why should I trust you over the next company?"**
If it doesn't, your visitors will continue searching until they find one that does.
