“Just a little more.” You tell yourself that when there’s still work left to finish. One task turns into another, and before you know it, it’s late again.

Meanwhile, Mom is still checking in. She asks when you’ll be home and reminds you not to stay up too late. She knows you’re working hard. She just wants to know that you’re eating well, getting enough rest, and taking care of yourself, too.

She may not be right there with you, but she’s still thinking about you. Still checking in. Still reminding you to take a break when work gets the better of you.

No matter how busy life gets, there’s always someone waiting for you to come home.

How well do you really know how your parents are doing?

A quick call helps. But sometimes, asking “How are you?” is not enough to understand what they have actually been going through, especially when parents tend to keep small health problems to themselves.

Look at the numbers. 52.9% of older adults experience bothersome pain, up to 48% experience insomnia symptoms, and 37.2% of adults aged 65+ have diagnosed heart disease, which means these are not rare concerns that families can simply overlook.

And when you do not live together, you may not see the changes yourself. You might not notice that they are sleeping differently, feeling more pain, or struggling with things that used to feel easy.

Check in today. Ask how they have really been feeling, not just whether everything is okay.

We got our Sylo Insight Agent working on real health data. Had to share this.

Agent connect the data through Multi-signal Reasoning, noticed good metrics but real fatigue, and give suggestions. From the user's actual body data via Unified Health Sync.

Still early. But it's working. And we're shipping more every week.

What if your parents are saying “I’m fine” because they don’t want you to worry?
When nothing seems urgent, it’s easy to accept that answer and move on with your day. But small changes in their health can happen gradually, making them even easier to overlook.
If you know how your parents normally sleep, move, and go about their day, you may notice when something starts to feel different. That doesn’t mean you need to assume the worst. It simply means paying attention when those changes keep happening.
Because sometimes, caring for your parents starts with noticing what has changed.

According to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), 18.7% of U.S. adults aged 65+ had coronary heart disease.

As our parents get older, changes in their heart health can become easier to overlook, especially when there are no obvious symptoms.

That’s why noticing their usual heart rate can matter. A single reading may change for many reasons, but a pattern that keeps changing from their normal is worth paying attention to.

After all, you know your parents’ normal better than anyone. When that normal starts to change, don’t ignore it. ❤️
