North Sydney Brothers Oztag has just completed their first season of player registrations using iSign.
The North Sydney Brothers Oztag competition caters for junior players ranging from 6 to 14 years of age, drawing players from a large surrounding catchment area.
The new ‘Team Submission’ function which was recently released by iSign specifically for Oztag, was used to enable team managers to register over 50 teams in the North Sydney Junior Oztag competition. More than 420 individual online player registrations were then received in relation to these teams.

The Junior Oztag competition takes place every Tuesday evening 5pm-8pm at Tunks Park in (Northbridge) throughout the summer months (October – March), operating 10 fields simultaneously across several timeslots during the evening.
With the competition in full swing, Mike McGregor from iSign took the opportunity to drop by and connect with Club President – Barry Hanley (left in picture) and Competition Convenor - Annette Hema who coordinated the transition to online registrations using the iSign system, and had this to say:
“The iSign system is a very good fit for us and has enabled a massive 70%+ reduction in administration effort during the registration period. The online Team Submission functionality was of particular help, along with the auto-allocation of players into their preferred teams. The online verification of player & parent email addresses (for club communications), validation of player ages and dates of birth, online payments and funds clearance and collection has been very beneficial to the club and has made the whole process so much easier and more efficient than in the past”

The Club provides a friendly, family atmosphere where healthy competition and enjoyment of the game is heavily promoted, and social interaction is encouraged with parents and children alike after the game, around the barbecue over a sausage ‘sanga’ and a drink. I was made to feel most welcome and was well looked after by Barry and Annette who are the consummate hosts.
The Club has close affiliations with the North Sydney Brothers Rugby League Club which is run from the same venue by Barry and Annette, during the winter months. The club is well established and thriving and boasts a healthy trophy cabinet and numerous celebrity rugby league parents including Laurie Daley and Greg Florimo, who have come through the club and remain actively involved.

Taylor Bridge Rugby Union Club successfully completes it's 2014 season using the iSign Online Sports Management system:

"iSign has been a great benefit to the Taylor Bridge Junior Rugby Club, particularly in the registration process. We have over 350 players in our club and using iSign has significantly streamlined the registration and payment processes. The on-line registration saved weeks of effort and management at the start of the season by having a consolidated player database that quickly enabled the creation of the teams and player allocation. The database continues to be a valuable asset in the ongoing management of the club and teams during the season. The flexibility in the way iSign functions allowed us to provide multiple payment options for our members as well as providing transparency in the payment process. I can thoroughly recommend iSign for any sporting organisation" - Colin Tull, Registrar at Taylor Bridge Rugby Union Club

What if your kid hates whistles, coaches and sponsored uniforms? Should you really force them to change?

In January 2013, Burraneer Rugby became the inaugural club to adopt iSign’s Online Sports Registration and Team Management System. Burraneer Rugby successfully registered all 300 of their player members for the 2013 winter playing season, over a 2 week period during February 2013.

Burraneer achieved a smooth transition from their manual processes of previous years, to iSign’s online web-based offering. Amongst the many benefits gained, Burraneer experienced significant cost savings, a massive reduction in time and effort by Club Administrators and Volunteers, standardisation of key processes and easy export of registration data to their governing Sports Association. In addition, all player contact, identification and proof of age information is now verified and centralised in a privacy controlled environment for Team Administrators to access for management of their teams, and for all email/SMS communications to parents and players throughout the upcoming season.

The President of Burraneer Rugby Club, Chris Storey, hailed the transition to iSign as a ‘complete success‘ for his club and had this to say:

“The move to iSign has been extremely beneficial for our club. It took the pressure right off our multiple registration days with the majority of players successfully registering online from home. This level of convenience and service has been well received by our club administrators, parents and players. There was no cost outlay to get onto iSign and iSign provided outstanding support which helped us immensely. We are very happy with our decision to partner with iSign which strategically positions our club very well for the future.”

Michael McGregor, the Managing Director of iSign (Australia Pty Ltd) is hopeful and confident that many other sporting clubs across Australia, will enjoy a similar experience to Burraneer Rugby Club by adopting the free online iSign offering.
