“When I make a clinical decision, I need to trust the information in front of me. Not just that it exists, but that it's right, current and complete," Dr Pratiksha Nirmal.
At the AAPM Conference, Telstra Health Clinical Director Dr Pratiksha Nirmal and Product Lead Cameron Sampson explored the shift from digitised records towards better-connected information, people and care across healthcare settings.
The discussion highlighted why having information isn't enough. To support better decisions and reduce administrative burden, information must move with its clinical context, helping create a more connected healthcare experience with "one patient, one view".
"Fragmentation is both a patient care problem and a workload problem. When healthcare services don't connect effectively, general practice is left to bridge the gaps."
Pulse+IT captured the discussion, which also provides useful context for Telstra Health's Corus™.
