Steph Martei is a Sydney-based multidisciplinary artist, illustrator and graphic designer whose practice centres on vibrant portraiture and visual storytelling. Working across traditional and digital mediums, her work explores identity, representation, culture and empowerment, celebrating people and communities often overlooked in mainstream narratives. Inspired by graphic novels, animation and her own experiences of representation, Steph creates work that invites her subjects to take up space unapologetically.

“I’m a graphic designer, and I really enjoy finding fun little ideas in everyday life. I like making things that feel playful and a bit unexpected — something that can make people smile or just put them in a better mood.

We Funk On actually started from a dance competition, but over time it became more than just an event. It’s rooted in funk culture, and for me it’s a way to bring together dance, music, design and everyday life in a fun, relaxed and slightly cheeky way.”

Lucky Lartey is an interdisciplinary visual artist whose practice centres on tape-based installation, photography and mixed media.

In 2022, he made his formal debut into the visual arts with In Transit, a photographic installation exhibited at Eden & The Willow Gallery and Articulate Projects, Sydney. Since then, his practice has increasingly foregrounded tape as both material and metaphor used to draw, fragment, and reframe the body within space.

Through a visually striking and politically conscious practice, Lucky Lartey creates immersive environments that challenge representation, reclaim narrative agency, and invite audiences to encounter Black bodies and histories beyond dominant frameworks.

Jah Tung is a Western Sydney reggae artist and descendant of Australia’s pioneering Soulmaker Sound. Blending conscious reggae, dancehall and hip hop with a distinctive singjay style, he has toured Europe, performed at major international festivals, collaborated with reggae heavyweights and earned multiple Music Victoria Award nominations.

J9 fully got back into illustrating after leaving her full-time corporate life in 2021 so she can focus on her own art.

Specialising in vector art, she joined Reggae Rockers in 2023 and has embraced learning how to screen print. While experimenting with all sorts of crafty materials and apparel to produce unique creations.

“My journey into filmmaking started in 2016, inspired by my love for movies and the power of visual storytelling. What began as a passion quickly grew into a career in videography, photography and content creation.

My journey took me to Dubai, where I worked as a Lead Videographer for a cosmetic brand, before moving into social media marketing and creating content for a range of brands, from restaurants and clothing to artists and events.

In 2018, I became the first content creator to film the Mate Ma’a Tonga international rugby league team, travelling to New Zealand to document their match against Australia.

I was also fortunate enough to work within the music industry from 2021 to 2023, directing and producing music videos and collaborating with artists to bring their creative vision to life.

Today, through Lethal Paradise, I continue to create cinematic content that brings brands, people, culture and stories to life.”
