Hackathon videos drop 1 – check out the highlight reels from our AI-Enabled Assessment Marking Hackathon last week!

A big thank you to the all sponsors and organisers: Microsoft Australia, Macquarie University & Big Data Society, Yirigaa , AIP Research Centre. Particularly Yasminka Nemet and Amin Beheshti, we had to pivot from in-person to virtual in less than a week leading up to the hackathon, and we couldn’t have done it so successfully without you.

Thank you to our brilliant speakers and judges, for being so generous with your time, we are blessed to have a group of leading industry experts and academics coming together to inspire and mentor the next generation of creative thinkers and innovators in AI! 15 Computers, Screens, Keyboards and Mice, donated to Narang Bir-rong Aboriginal Corporation.

The Narang Bir-rong Aboriginal Corporation’s mission is to provide culturally and spiritually stable homes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and their families.

These computers are going to help their Family Preservation, Foster Care and Support Programs and ensure that their children and young people have access to technology during the current lockdown.

CEO Heidi Bradshaw said that these computers were greatly appreciated as they will allow their kids to continue with their schooling and maintain access via video to the families, community and support network.

We are so glad to have the opportunity to give back to the community in such a meaningful way, thanks to Yirigaa and Narang Bir-rong Aboriginal Corporation.
