Tell us about your business?
Capital Bearing Supplies is a family-owned business in Fyshwick, ACT, servicing the Canberra region with industrial supplies. The team specialises in sourcing hard-to-find parts for customers across a wide range of industries.
How did you get started?
It began as a side gig for Steve, who spotted a gap in the market for bearings while working in earthmoving supplies. In 1994, he negotiated to buy the business and turned it into what Capital Bearing Supplies is today.
What makes your business unique?
The team regularly goes above and beyond to find the parts customers need, often urgently. They even provide out-of-hours service because when equipment breaks down, time is money. And, of course, there’s Tony the French Bulldog, who takes care of customer relations. 🐾
What’s next?
We recently moved into new premises, which we’re thrilled with. It’s a massive upgrade and gives us much more space, so we’re looking at new lines to stock to better serve our customers. Moving after 26 years was a huge job, and we’re still sorting and unpacking.
