What qualifies as an AI agent? Isaac Perdomo breaks it down into three essential abilities:

🤲 Action: It does things outside the chat window like posting a journal entry in Xero or downloading a bank statement.
🧠 Autonomy: It makes its own decisions. You give it a goal and it figures out the steps.
🔁 Adaptation: It learns mid-task. When it hits a wall, it tries a different approach and remembers what worked last time.

All three have to be present. Anything less is traditional automation.
