Don't miss this exhibition..

WHEN THE DUST SETTLED by photographer North Sullivan marks the 25th anniversary of the tragic event that was 9/11.

North was there.

He captured the harrowing effects on people and how life changed after in the hours and days after the attack.

These photos have never been seen.

This Thursday [10th] at the Photo Studio's PhotoGraf Gallery in Glebe.
Opening event from 5:30pm..and you may need one of those drinks on offer for sure..

It’s a new month so there is a new ARTIST in FOCUS & FRAME.

This time we’re adding REVISITED to that title as we chat to previous Featured artists to find out what they’ve been doing since we last spoke. Stay tuned as we will revisit others down the road too..

First up in the REVISITED list is Wendy McDougall. She was the very first PERSON who answered our questionnaire. We’ve given her a REVISITED questionnaire where she has revealed some new info and stories. [check our website]

Currently Wendy has an exhibition at Raglan Gallery in Cooma called FREQUENCY OF FLOATING. This is on until 19th Sept so still time if you can get to the regional NSW town.

These photographs cycle back to when and how Wendy first connected to music. She chose to look at the music itself and how it made her feel, react to the sounds rather than the people who make the music of whom who she’s been photographing for many years as a main component of her career.

We know that parking around here in Charing Cross can sometimes be tricky but here are some sneaky places to look...

Across the street [Bronte Rd] behind the post office is a limited time parking area.. Check the map to get yourself on Victoria street and enter there [see this first image] Then walk through an alleyway to Bronte Rd and we are to your left across the road.

Around and on Carrington Ave, that runs parallel to Bronte Rd, is also good and you can walk up Judges Lane to Bronte Rd and we are right there on your left..

Of course you can try your luck out front too..

Either way drop in to say hi and check out the framing and paper options for your next order.

Have you had that experience where you went to see some art but the space seemed too quiet, whispery and too intimidating to say anything out loud? It put you off staying too long to really take in what was on offer?

Well.. on right now is an event that is totally opposite where the vibe of the crowd is part of the experience in enjoying the art and more like how you want any art you buy to be in your own space - alive. We don't whisper at home, we relax and share what we have...a space to contemplate art and images for as long as we want.

Sydney Contemporary Art Fair is not just a place to see art and photography its an experience unto itself and where you can really feel comfortable enough to say, relate and react to whatever you see PLUS more than likely talk to the artist and photographer who created the work which is always a bonus.

It's on right now at Carriageworks in Redfern.
