Heading to the Queensland Law Society Gold Coast Legal Conference next month? Make sure you stop by the InfoTrack stand to chat with our team about navigating AML/CTF Tranche 2 obligations with confidence.

We’re proud to share that Lynette Barlow, General Manager of Sales at InfoTrack, will be chairing the session: AML/CTF Tranche 2 Obligations – Are you ready?

With the reforms fast approaching, now is the time to explore how InfoTrack’s all-inclusive Compliance Centre can help streamline compliance, client onboarding and ongoing obligations, all in one place.

Whether you’re just getting started or looking to strengthen your existing processes, our team will be on the ground to answer your questions and demonstrate how our solutions can support your practice.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Most Tranche 2 conversations start with the lawyer, the accountant, or the regulator. Conveyancers are the ones who finish the transaction.

Jennie Tonner, President of the Australian Institute of Conveyancers NSW, represents the practitioners who encounter Tranche 2 obligations not occasionally, but across every settlement they run. Customer due diligence, identification verification, program maintenance, these are not periodic compliance exercises for conveyancers. They are embedded in the daily rhythm of a profession that operates at volume.

On 18 June, Jennie brings that operational reality into a forum that has never existed before: AUSTRAC CEO Brendan Thomas addressing all four Tranche 2 professions in a single session, with time set aside for the questions that matter most to each one.

For conveyancers, those questions are concrete. What does a proportionate program look like when you are managing dozens of settlements a month? How do your obligations interact with the lawyer and the agent on the same matter? What does AUSTRAC actually expect to see from a practice your size?

This is where those answers come from.

Complimentary. 18 June. 9:00 am AEST.

The firms that handle disruption well share one quality: they do not find out what is changing at the same time as everyone else.

In the past six months alone, Australian legal practitioners have absorbed a Federal Budget that rewrites the rules on CGT, negative gearing, and discretionary trusts, a compliance deadline that has fundamentally changed how firms onboard clients, and an AI shift that is quietly reshaping what clients expect from their lawyers. That is not a slow-moving industry. That is a profession being asked to adapt faster than most.

Edition 106 of The Practitioner Playbook was built with that pace in mind. Inside, you will find a case study on how Vizzone Ruggero Twigg Lawyers scaled across multiple offices without losing operational footing, a breakdown of what the 2026-27 Budget means for client conversations across every area of practice, clarity on the AML/CTF questions firms are still working through ahead of 1 July, and a look at what we are building at InfoTrack to help practices stay ahead of what comes next.

The firms that will grow through this period are already asking the right questions. We hope this edition helps. Take a read: https://ow.ly/3VvZ50Z6X2Z

AI adoption has moved well past the point of being just a tooling conversation.

The harder question now is what it means for teams, trust, governance and the way organisations actually operate.

That’s the focus of our next InfoTrack technology meetup,
Beyond the pilot: Leading in the Agentic Era. Adoption, Trust and the New Operating Model

On Wednesday, 24th June from 5;30pm at InfoTrack's office in Barangaroo, Emie FERNANDEZ, CTO, Kristy Lee Bullock, Chief Product Officer, and Nikky Shourie, Head of AU Platforms will unpack what it really looks like when AI moves beyond pilots and starts reshaping day-to-day work.

This session will explore the part of AI adoption that is harder to diagram and often more important to get right: how to encourage uptake, how roles are evolving, and what leadership looks like when the future operating model is still taking shape.

If you’re thinking seriously about what comes after the pilot, we’d love to have you in the room.

On 18 June 2026, Australia's four Tranche 2 affected professions will share a room for the first time. Lawyers, conveyancers, real estate agents, and accounting professionals will hear from AUSTRAC in a single session, examining the same legislation, the same obligations, and the questions none of them have been able to answer in isolation.

It has never happened before. And Bobbie Wan will be on the panel.

As Head of Regulatory Policy and Strategy at the NSW Law Society, Bobbie carries the profession's authoritative position on the tensions that sit most acutely with legal practitioners. How do customer due diligence obligations interact with solicitor-client duty? When multiple regulated parties share the same matter, how do reliance provisions actually apply? These are not abstract questions for lawyers and conveyancers. They are the questions that determine whether a compliance program holds up under scrutiny.

On 18 June, those questions are examined with the regulator present, alongside the other professions who will be sitting across the table from you on the same transactions.
Complimentary. 18 June. 9:00 am AEST. Register below.

Welcome to edition 3 of AML Pulse 🚨

Activity across the AML/CTF market has exploded. Since our last update:
• More than 3,000 additional Tranche 2 firms have enrolled with AUSTRAC
• National enrolments have now surpassed 11,000 businesses
• More than 100 firms per day are adopting the InfoTrack Compliance Centre to build their program, train staff and prepare for commencement

With less than 25 business days remaining until 1 July, firms across legal, conveyancing, accounting and real estate are now moving quickly to operationalise their AML/CTF obligations.

Importantly, from 1 June, the existing InfoTrackID and VOI experience will evolve into our new AML onboarding solution.

This enhanced workflow will include VOI, PEPs, Sanctions & Adverse media Checks, KYC/KYB questionnaires, risk assessments and more. Everything you need to be AML/CTF compliant, through one guided workflow.

This gives you a 30 day runway before commencement to familiarise yourself with the new onboarding workflow and start building internal processes before obligations go live.

Momentum is building across the industry. The countdown is officially on.

See you in the next update.
