Since 1 July 2026, conveyancers and law firms providing designated services have carried AML/CTF obligations alongside the ARNECC requirements that already apply to every electronically lodged property matter. Those are two different tests, and a verification process that satisfies one does not automatically satisfy the other.

With the Reserve Bank lifting the cash rate to 4.6 per cent at the end of September, its fourth increase this year, the third quarter offers a clear view of how buyers across Queensland and New South Wales are adjusting their expectations.

Our latest Property Market Update, covering sales from 1 July to 30 September 2026, shows regional centres featuring more prominently than they have in some time. A regional New South Wales city has held the top position for a second consecutive quarter, and four regional Queensland locations have entered the top 10 for house sales.

On the coast, one Sunshine Coast suburb moved up the unit rankings in a single quarter, while the Gold Coast filled most of Queensland’s top 10 for unit sales across a wide range of price points.
