Scheduled for release in April 2021, Moon is a content-rich virtual reality (VR) application that allows you to explore the Moon's surface. The initial release will be through the Google Play Store for Android devices only. With following versions of Moon optimised for all other smartphones, computers, tablets, and VR headsets. The Apple App Store release date is yet to be determined (sorry). To i

nstall Moon you'll need 3MB of available storage on your device and an internet connection with a download speed >6Mbps. In the meantime, there's a restricted demo available on our website that showcases the beginning of Moon, as you land on the lunar surface alongside the astronauts of Apollo 15. If you like the demo, you can submit your email using the form on our website, and we'll send you an email notification once the full version of Moon is available for download on the Google Play Store. It took hundreds of hours to develop, test, and launch this application. Your support is sincerely appreciated and helps us create more amazing space-related content. Moon is cloud-based, which allows us to implement free updates and grow the application. Once an update occurs, you won't have to pay anything, nor should you need to update/reinstall the app. Moon will never feature any advertisements and we'll never steal or sell your data 🙂

I created this app, so you can explore the lunar surface in 360° (iOS version coming soon).

MoonVR is cloud-based, which allows me to implement free updates and to grow the application into the future. Once an update occurs, you won't have to do or pay anything.

Thanks for following this project! I would think that photos of the moon would not spark interest in a lot of people, so it's cool you're here and proving me wrong.

I kind of accidentally developed this app 😅

As most of you know, I'm a 360° photographer by trade, but I also follow spaceflight in the same way someone might follow the Rabbitohs - they tend not to miss a game, nor do I tend to miss a rocket launching into space.

Anyway, a few months ago I started stitching and editing panoramas from the moon in my spare time (as you do).

After a few hundred hours of editing, research, and learning Java (never again), and Moon was finished!

I thought "Well s**t, that took ages, but I've actually got something really cool here. Why not share it?"
