What happens to your clientsā€™ email addresses after they hand them over?

Itā€™s something thatā€™s easy to overlook when youā€™re busy running a business, especially when those addresses end up in your website forms, inbox, CRM, booking system and email marketing platform.

There are a few things you probably shouldnā€™t be doing with them, from adding people to your newsletter without permission to accidentally sharing a whole list of email addresses.

A new website for The Old School Cleaning Co. on the Gold Coast.

This was such a fun project to bring to life, with a brand built around a simple idea:

Old-School Values. Modern Cleaning. Done Properly.

Old School Cleaning Co. is built on an old-school work ethic, modern systems and the belief that the details still matter. Keeping your word matters. Doing the job properly matters: "A clean your nan would be proud of."

So the website needed to feel like them: bold, colourful, a little retro and definitely not your typical cleaning company website.

I brought Gemma and Deon's personality into the design while making sure their residential, commercial, short-stay and NDIS services are clear and easy to navigate.

The new website is now live for the Gold Coast and surrounds.

WordPress security update šŸ”

There have been several security vulnerabilities and updates across WordPress and popular plugins recently, including a critical vulnerability in Elementor Pro.

WordPress itself has also had recent security releases, with WordPress 7.1 now available.

This is a good reminder that keeping your website, plugins and themes updated isn't just about getting new features. Updates often contain important security fixes.
