✨ NEW in MyCompHQ – Performer Self Check-In ✨
We’ve just added a new Self Check-In option to MyCompHQ, designed to make those busy arrival periods at competitions a whole lot easier.
Instead of every performer having to queue at the registration desk, competitions can now display a QR Code at the venue entrance or check-in desk. Performers simply scan it with their phone and MyCompHQ checks their performances for the day.
✅ If they’ve paid and any required music has been uploaded, they’re automatically marked In Venue and can get on with preparing for their performance.
⚠️ If something needs attention — such as an outstanding payment or missing music — they aren’t automatically checked in. Instead, they’re directed to see a Venue Attendant who can sort it out.
For a large or busy competition, this could make a huge difference when dozens of performers arrive at around the same time. Rather than everyone joining the same registration queue, most can check themselves in within seconds.
But we think it could be just as useful for smaller competitions too. If you only have one person working at check-in and suddenly 10 performers arrive together, those who have everything ready can check themselves in while your staff member concentrates on the people who actually need assistance.
Competitions can also add their own personalised messages to the successful and unsuccessful check-in screens — perhaps directing performers to dressing rooms, reminding them where to go next, or explaining where to find a Venue Attendant.
And for events running at multiple locations, MyCompHQ can generate a separate Self Check-In QR Code for each location, so performers are checked in for the correct venue.
