For suppliers, all ordering and payment happens online. You don’t have to worry about daily order calls to customers, or chasing down late payments. You can get on with your business, knowing that orders and payment will come in seamlessly and on time. For retailers, we've built a mobile app. Retailers can order from all of their suppliers - from coffee roasters and milk suppliers, through to bake

There is also the option to set up scheduled orders, which means retailers can focus on growing their business rather than placing daily supply orders. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Sydney, Ordermentum now works with some of the largest suppliers on the market such as Lion, through to speciality brands including Gabriel Coffee.

Stories like Mitchell’s remind us why we love hospitality so much.

He owns and runs Bertoni Cafe Balmain in Sydney’s Balmain, a cafe that’s beloved by locals who treat it like an extension of their home.

Over coffee and delicious home-cooked food, friends are made and kept over years of visits.

“If people are on their own, they end up sitting with someone else,” Mitchell says. “We see them again, and again, and they keep coming back because they know everyone here.”

Mitchell has watched some ofhis customers’ kids grow up at these tables, some of them now work in the cafe.

On the surface it runs like an effortless operation, but the work that goes behind growing and nurturing such a welcoming space is hard to fathom. Thank you Mitchell for sharing a slice of your story with us.

During Sydney’s lockdowns, Fern kept COOP regulars smiling with handwritten notes scrawled on their coffee lids. It’s now a cornerstone of the Bronte Beach community.

But behind the counter, keeping track of orders was a different story. “When I first opened, I had cheat sheets, all my ordering down on paper so I could remember everything I needed.” Fern says.

Now all 12 of her suppliers are live in one place. “Because all my suppliers are there, I can go ‘Oh, what haven’t I ordered? Oh, I forgot about cookies.’ Click! Then order,” she says. “You don’t have to do much thinking.”

Her verdict? “It’s so simple. It couldn’t be more streamlined, really.”

Meet Alek from Frank’s Deli, a New York-style deli on Bronte Road in Sydney. He’s part of a family trio who’ve created some of the most popular sandwiches in Sydney.

Lines snake out the door every weekend… but why are the crowds so happy to wait?

“Simplicity is the key,” says Alek “And there’s nothing more simple than a sandwich. A few ingredients between a bit of bread... but when it’s put together properly, it’s a thing of beauty.”

Arguably their most beautiful creation is the steak frites baguette, with sous-vide, seasoned french fries, and a rich Parisian-style butter sauce.

“You take a bite and it’s like... holy sh__!”

But it’s not just amazing sandwiches. It’s the love Alek, his sister Sammy, and her husband Ben put into their venue, every single day.

Customers feel it and that’s why they patiently stand in line (that, and the fact they know the sandwiches really are THAT good).

Meet Fern from .bronte , a Bronte beachside cafe that’s notable for the crowds who gather every morning after their run, swim, or walk.

With the buzz of so many people every day, it’s easy to forget that the early days were hard - really hard.

There were COVID lockdowns, restrictions on customers per venue - not to mention the general stress of opening a new venue. So, they started writing cute, flirty, fun notes on coffee lids: “”hi sexy,”” “”Your #1 fan,”” or just “”have an amazing Sunday.””

It was this little moment of delight that turned it all around.
