Thinking about getting a new website — or finally replacing the one that isn't bringing in work? Here's what most people don't think to ask before they hire a web designer.
The web design industry is full of cheap templates, offshore outsourcing, and agencies that hand you a finished site and disappear. For a Blue Mountains tradie or small business owner, that's not good enough. You need a site that loads fast on a phone, shows up in local Google searches, and makes it stupidly easy for someone to contact you.
Before you commit to anyone, ask whether updates are included after the site goes live, whether local SEO is built in from day one, and whether you'll be dealing with the actual person who built your site — or a rotating support queue.
We've written a plain-English guide covering exactly what to look for and the questions worth asking.
