On the 21st of June I met with the people from the Roseberry Creek Landcare and CRT along with Tammy and Jasmin from the Australian Red Cross to conduct a radio testing day for the community.

We got out maps and worked out areas that needed coverage and marked them on the maps. The community travelled to the sites while i went to a prominent site with a portable repeater and tests were conducted.

We then had a very good meeting back at Jan's place and all were very happy with how the testing went and the consensus was that a repeater be put at a specific site for the community.

At this point this is being organized and when we are closer to completion we will update everyone as to the progress.

I would like to thank everyone that assisted with this. We could not have done it without them.

On June 15th, we met at the Tyalgum General Store and I conducted a UHF Communications testing day with three local Community resilience teams, Community Resilient Tyalgum, Chillingham and Surrounds CRT and the Pumpenbil CRT who had representatives from all villages and areas as well as Red Cross Tweed - Byron Emergency Services who volunteered their time to support their communities to communicate in emergencies.

We first mapped out where everyone was going to go and I went to the identified repeater spot, we spent 5 hours testing communication levels from all identified spots and some more. The outcome is the need for a repeater to greater amplify the communication amongst all the communities.

Thanks to everyone who came our for a good day of testing and getting things sorted for Community. Will update when the repeater site is set up and the Pumpenbil, Tyalgum, Chillingham and Surrounding communities are connected.

Had a very productive day with Reg Robbo and the guys from the Crabbes Creek CRT and also Tammy from Australian Red Cross. Did a lot of radio testing in the area with a temporary repeater installed on one of the local properties up high.
We are all very happy with how the testing went.
