One of my most special and emotional weeks!!!

I went back into the local primary school on country that Pop regularly taught at and created a mural right in-front of his memorial chair.

I wanted to make sure Wiradyuri ngurambang (country) was front and centre and being acknowledged by staff, students and community daily.

I was also able to help teach some language and art with the young ones too!

Being able to share Pops passion is such a blessing and I hope it makes him proud watching over me. 😭

A truly special artwork I was asked to make for Meiva’s Angels a little while ago.

Meiva was such a happy and cheeky girl who loved her mum, cousins and family more than anything.

You’ll always be missed, remembered and loved. Your memory lives on forever 💜🤍💙

Had the absolute honour to create the Reconciliation Action Plan artwork and elements for Wellways 🤍🩵💙

As an employee for Wellways and an advocate for mental health, this project has been very close to my heart.

I’ve loved working alongside mob at Wellways to make sure this artwork reflects where Wellways reconciliation journey is headed.

Swipe to the end to see the artwork and element stories! Shoutout to Jamie-Lee Lalic and Kez for all the support on this 🥹

Got some new headshots so thought it’d be the perfect time to reintroduce myself! 🧡

My names Sarah and I’m loud and proud q***r Wiradyuri and Gundungurra woman. 👣

I love creating digital and physical art, hanging with my friends/family, spending time on country, going for walkies with my dog and doing random side quests. 🐶

Recently I’ve learning Wiradyuri language and it’s a journey I’m adoring in every form. ❤️‍🔥

I’m really passionate about protecting country, our animals and youth mental health. 🍃

Truly appreciate of this creative journey I’ve been on and love being able to share it with you all! 🌼

Found a print at the op shop of a classic Australian artwork, The Pioneer and did a little rework.

The original 3 piece artwork by Frederick McCubbin shows a family settling into the Australian bush and is used to reflect the rising sense of Australian Identity after Federation in 1901.

I wanted to rework this story and show that before colonisation, there was already over 250 nations when Australia was “established”. These nations are still here today. The bush always has and always will hold the spirits of our ancestors and our culture. 🙏🏽

I got gifted a rose recently that I obviously had to turn into art. The story behind this artwork is about connection, learning lessons and sharing knowledge with ourselves, Mother Earth and its beautiful creatures.

This one is not for sale but keep an eye out, I’ll be posted some frames for sale in the coming weeks 👀

Did you know the Murray River has recently been listed as critically endangered?!?!?!?

🩵 What does that mean?
The Lower River Murray and its connected waterways and eco-systems face a high risk of collapse. This could happen within the next 10 years!

🩵 How did this happen?
There are lots of factors including climate change, droughts, invasive species and upstream communities in Victoria and New South Wales extracting too much water from the river.

🩵 What can you do to help?
Be sure to talk to people in your life about this issue and keep the conversation going. Write letters to your local members of parliament, especially if you live or are connected to a community along the Murray River.
You can also visit the link in my bio or visit the Murray-Darling Conservation Alliance website to take action.

This bila flows through Wiradyuri country and holds cultural significance for us. It’s also a place me and my friends regularly spend time at and we value a lot. Pleaseeeee help save our beautiful bila!

Applied for the .melbourne First Peoples Naarm Art Tram. Sadly didn’t get selected but I’m actually so proud of myself for creating this piece about one of my fave plants, the kurrajong.

Melbourne is known as the capital coffee of the world but our people have been using kurrajong seeds to create a coffee like drink for over 60,000+ years; well before Melbourne ever existed.

We also create some of the strongest rope from this plant and we use it to make fish traps and other items.

I wanted this piece to show the beauty, creativity and ingenuity of my people and culture and the love I have for creating on and with country. 🤍💛🧡🤎
