Simplistic. Clean. Calming.

They were the very important words that formed our brief. From branding, to social templates and finishing off with brand new website reveal for Heidi at Heidi Richards - Counsellor | Yoga Therapist

The gentle colour palette was chosen to work beautifully with our local Sandgate bayside area and Heidi’s earthy charm. Along with supporting icons to highlight her services offered.

AI will build you a website in an afternoon.

That was never the hard part.

And honestly? The tools are good. Clean layout, works on a phone, decent starter copy. If your site just needs to exist and look legit, an AI builder might be all you ever need.

But a website that wins work starts with a few decisions no builder will make for you. Who it's for. What you want them to do. What gets left off the page.

Sometimes a nice little fresh is all that is needed… a spring clean, some may say!

When Jennifer Coleman Acupuncturist | Your Healthy Horizon reached out asking for us to lend a hand and give her website some love, we jumped at it! Not only has Kass known Jen for sooooo many years, and also a patient of hers, it felt so great to see the next phase of Your Healthy Horizon come to life digitally.

We’re hiring.

Kartia is looking for a content creator to join us on a contract basis, about 12 hours a week, mostly WFH with occasional on-site days.

You’ll be taking our briefs and making them look great: reels, static posts, short-form edits, graphics, the lot.
If you’re confident in CapCut and Canva, have a good eye for trends and what stops the scroll, and want to be part of a small studio doing good work for good clients, we want to hear from you.

Real one for anyone running an online store or invoicing through Xero.

From 1 October, card surcharges are banned. Not at checkout, not as a line item on invoices. The RBA’s enforcing it through the card networks, so no quietly renaming it a “handling fee” either.

What it actually means: a $500 sale that used to net $492 after the surcharge still nets $492 from October. That $8 just comes out of your margin now instead of your customer’s pocket.

Small on one sale. Not small over a year.

Before October:
➕ Switch surcharging off in your ecommerce and invoicing platforms yourself
➕ Work out what card fees actually cost you a month
➕ Decide on purpose: build it into your price, absorb it, or offer a cheaper option like direct debit

This affects us too. Kartia invoices clients, we’re doing the exact same audit.

Talk to your bookkeeper before October, not in November when you’re wondering where the margin went.

It’s all in the details.

After meeting with an incredible client yesterday at their warehouse, we were blown away by how intricate their craftsmanship was, the years of knowledge and their eye to detail.

When the world of digital is how we interact with businesses so often, it was so important for us to see the behind the scenes to really know how to bring their specialised business to life… authentically on the digital landscape!

This one is an exciting project that we can’t wait to share!
