We Have had several calls from our customers this week complaining about certain large telcos putting in place voice messages on their phones. The message plays when you try to dial out, and is about the need to move to NBN.

Happy Friday!!
Yesterday and again tonight I received a call from +61 1231 and the caller read their script explaining they are from the big “T” Tech Support and have found errors on my computer... please don’t follow their requests for you to download team viewer, as once they have access to your computer they will cause damage. SCAMwatch and Telstra are warning consumers to hang up the phone if they receive a call out of the blue from someone claiming there is a problem with their internet connection or computer.

There are a lot of sales people cold calling about the NBN at the moment and some are saying you have to change over straight away, which is incorrect. You have 18 months to choose a provider from when your area was turned on.
