Oh, how I would have LOVED something like this when I started The Story Shed.
Starting a business is exciting. But it's also terrifying. You're standing at the bottom of a very big mountain, thinking, right. Where on earth do I start?
Your brand. Your website. The legal stuff. Money. Marketing. Photography. Finding clients. Figuring out what makes you different.
Which is why I’m so happy to be one of the mentors for Startup Springboard 2026, an initiative by The Office Bowral.
One emerging Southern Highlands business will receive six months and more than $25,000 worth of hands-on support from a pretty fabulous group of local people who know their respective stuff. I'm talking legal, finance and business coaching, digital, photography, workspace, connections and more.
And I get to bring my favourite bit to the table: your story.
Through The Story Shed, I’ll work with the recipient to dig into what makes their business worth choosing, who they're really talking to and what they want to be known for. We’ll turn that into a clear brand, messaging framework and visual direction.
You absolutely do not need to have it all figured out yet. In fact, that's kind of the point.
You need a good idea, the willingness to put the work in, and the readiness to make the most of a whole bunch of local people genuinely wanting to see you succeed.
