Wow, what a great few weeks on the road! Our MirusPlus Roadshow took us across the country to talk to executive leaders in aged care about the challenges and opportunities in technology.

Some key themes really stood out:
- Providers are fed up with disconnected systems - they want one platform that “pulls everything together”.
- Reporting is still painful. QFR, subsidy reconciliation, dashboards and payment reporting take far too long.
- Care minutes and AN-ACC accuracy are top priorities.
- Ease of use is now non-negotiable. Systems must work for frontline and back-office staff.

This month our analysis finds that total care time increased slightly from October to November (0.63%) however RN time decreased (-0.25). The aged care sector is showing real progress in meeting mandated care minute targets under AN-ACC. Compliance rates are climbing, one-star services are falling, and providers are finding ways to balance staffing with financial sustainability. Between Q1 and Q2 FY25, excess minutes reduced, narrowing overspend from $138 million to $98 million, while supplement risk increased from $43 million to $61 million. Find out more.
