We currently have available an opportunity for a full time Computer Technician. 💻

Job Tasks and responsibilities:
• Undertaking onsite support for small business in an MSP style environment;
• Implement onsite ICT services e.g. networking, upgrades and migrations;
• Communicating with new customers and established clients for tasks such as job bookings and progress reports;
• Installation and configuration of software and hardware;
• Troubleshooting a range of hardware and software issues to resolution;
• Must be a Team Player;
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures;
• Other tasks as required including general shopfront and office/workshop duties, such as answering phones, sales of over-the-counter items and settlement of accounts with customers; and
• Good communication skills.

Requirements
• Police check (able to pass)

Skills and experience

The following attributes will be required:
• Trade skills, experience with tools;
• Tech savvy;
• Fast learner;
• Positive attitude;
• Understanding of computer parts and services;
• PC hardware and Operating Systems. (Windows 10, Windows 11);
• PC software, including antivirus, backup and office productivity software;
• Microsoft office 2019 to current; and
• Networking.

To be successful in the role the following skills are essential:

• A strong ability to problem solve and think analytically;
• A minimum 1-2 years experience in a similar role;
• The ability to research solutions and willingness to learn;
• Excellent written and verbal skills for both technical and end user communication (and thrive on building strong working relationships with clients and their staff in order to ensure customer satisfaction);
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; and
• Work well under pressure with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise work.

• Installation of cabling and peripherals CCTV and alarm systems;
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures;
• Stock control and ordering of security as required; and
• Other tasks as required include retail sales.

Requirements
• Police Check (able to pass);
• Telecommunications license preferred;
• White card preferred; and
• Working at heights preferred.

Skills and experience
• It would be advantageous if you have CCTV, alarm and security skills or skills from a similar industry.
