Like a lot of kids who grew up in the 80’s, I had a strange obsession with WWF wrestling.
We were all meant to cheer for Hulk Hogan and boo the Iron Sheik and Rowdy Roddy Piper… but for some reason, I always found myself siding with the so-called “bad guys.”
Maybe it was because they seemed misunderstood.
Maybe it was because they were just trying to navigate someone else’s system.
Or maybe I just liked rooting for the underdog.
Funny enough, that mindset followed me into IT.
Most people see technology problems as the villain — the spinning beachball, the Wi-Fi that drops out, the printer that “just won’t.” But most of the time, the issue isn’t evil… it’s just misunderstood. A setting out of place. A network device not playing nicely. A system that just needs someone to interpret what it’s actually trying to say.
Good IT support isn’t about smashing the problem with a folding chair.
It’s about understanding how all the parts work together — and getting them back on the same team.
So here’s my new casual Redbot tee — a little nod to the iconic “Hot Rod” shirt made famous by Rowdy Roddy Piper — but with a Redbot twist.
And the best part?
If you’ve got your own idea — business, brand, inside joke, passion project — you can design and print your own tee through our sister business, The Tee Depot
Because whether it’s your tech or your t-shirt design…
sometimes you just need the right support to make it work properly.
