One thing many people miss when planning outdoor music events is how much stage setup shapes the whole experience. When audio, lighting and backline are mapped out properly, artists settle in faster, changeovers run smoothly and the crowd feels the difference straight away.
This year we supported Lakeside Festival in Forster Tuncurry, delivering production for both the main stage and the second stage. On the second stage we kept things practical and artist friendly with a side-stage audio operator, front of house PA, monitors, a full mic package, a simple lighting rig, full backline and an audio technician on site for the day.
The main stage had a full build with our Maximus trailer stage, dedicated monitor world and backline world, a complete audio rig with FOH and monitor split, a lighting package, a 3.5m by 2m LED screen, iMAG with a camera package and media playback, a full backline package and CO2 jets for a special moment during the car raffle announcement.
It was great working with Jess, Ed, Gary and the Lakeside Festival team on such a strong community event. Hearing from the acts about how much they enjoyed the production this year, and how easy the crew were to work with, was a real highlight for us.
