Every detail draws inspiration from the heart of Vietnamese culture—vibrant street life, the joy of shared meals, fresh ingredients, and the unmistakable warmth of gathering aroundto eat.

From the very first sketch of the brand identity to the finishing touches throughout the interior, every element was thoughtfully considered. The colour palette, typography, illustrations, materials, and signage all work together to tell one cohesive story, creating a brand experience that feels authentic, welcoming, and full of personality.

Because great branding is more than just a logo. It's how a space makes people feel. When every touchpoint is intentional, every visit becomes more than just a meal, it becomes an experience and an opportunity to make people feel and for people to remember and return for.

If you want a brand identity that's actually telling your story, unique, strategic and has personality - dm us or head to our website/bio link to book a discovery call.

Sounds on 🔊... Looking at the Bánh Mì Phượng Nga project, we started by breaking down the typography to understand how Vietnamese signage is constructed and how French Latin influence shapes its visual language. I mean if the banquet in the Banh Mi roll wasn't a tell tale sign then...

That influence traces back to nearly a century of French colonial rule in Vietnam (1858–1954), which left a lasting imprint on language, food culture, and visual communication, including everyday street signage.

What we found in the typography system was a blend of:

1. Bold, condensed type

2. Layered and shadowed lettering

3. Vintage print imperfections

4. High-contrast colour pairings

5. Mixed typographic styles

6. Dense information hierarchy (tight leading & spacing)

7. Framed and bordered compositions

8. Diacritics used as visual features, not just language

9. Highly scalable street-level applications

10. Street market and cultural motifs

This breakdown helped us understand not just the style, but the cultural logic behind it and informed how we translated it into the branding system for the project.

During the briefing session with Bánh Mì Phương Nga, we explored introducing a graphic element that could capture a distinctly Vietnamese feel, something that communicated culture and personality while staying modern and brand-led.

This led to the idea of a character.

Unlike a logo, a character brings the brand to life. It can express emotion, appear across different contexts, and creates a more memorable connection than symbols alone. People relate to faces faster, and they remember them longer.

A character helps:

* Improve recognition through a memorable face
* Build emotional connection through personality
* Strengthen recall beyond traditional branding
* Support storytelling across touch points
* Create a consistent, flexible brand asset

For Bánh Mì Phương Nga, we designed a character inspired by traditional Vietnamese dress, including a nón lá hat. It was kept simple and scalable, strong enough for signage and murals, yet clear at small sizes.

The result is a distinctive green figure that becomes a recognisable visual anchor for the brand, strengthening recognition through consistent, intentional design.

We helped a school tell its story. On the wall.

We are super excited to share this project that got finalised this year.

Atlantis Baptist College came to us, they didn't just want something that looked good on a wall. They wanted to capture something real, where they started, what they stood for, and how far they'd come.

So before we touched a single design, we visited the school and sat down with the principals. We asked questions, we listened, and we started to understand the depth of what this place meant to the people in it. The values and the key themes for the school was represented via symbols and key words.

Then we shaped it into something you could see.
